FYB WEEK DAY 3(Jersey Day)|| LAST DAYS IN UNI
I previously wrote about the day 1 and day 2 of my FYB week, you can check my previous posts to check them out. Day 1 was ‘corporate day’, day 2 was ‘Back to school’ and day 3, which this post is all about was ‘sport/Jersey’ day. This is a day where all finalists come to school in any form of sport outfit they prefer. Some can choose to show up in a football Jersey, some basket ball, baseball, etc. I chose to show up a football Jersey and I repped PSG team(Paris Saint German). Not that I am a member of that football club or even a fan of football at all, it was simply because I liked the color of the Jersey😂
As usual, I wasn’t prepared for this day as well. I only reached out to a vendor that same morning. We had a lecture that morning as well, so my friend and I went to school after I went to pick up the Jersey(I had to change my shirt at the pick up location, by the way😂). We got to class and everyone looked really nice in their sport outfits. Some turned up in basket ball Jersey, but majority wore football jerseys and represented different clubs.
After the end of the class, the FYB committees announced that we should all wait behind, as they wanted to share awards within our department. There was a time they sent a voting link to the department before that time, where they arranged different categories and nominated different people for the categories. I didn’t really pay attention to it then, not knowing they took it serious in the department.
They started calling names for different categories; Most fashionable, most handsome, most beautiful, most reserved, most enterprising, most this and that…
As they were coming out to collect their awards(a cardboard paper cut in form of a crown with their categories written on it), we gave them a round of applause.
I was shocked when I heard my name at a point😂
Can you guess the category I was given an award for? 😂😂 You’ll probably guess wrong🌝
Well, I was given an award for the ‘most quiet female’ in the department 😂😭. I really don’t know how I won that award, I don’t even see myself as a quiet person. I guess that’s my reward for being a socially awkward person that is always reserved in places with much people. I know I wasn’t outspoken in class, but I never knew people noticed me to be ‘that’ quiet.
I would have shown you my crown, but I am not in school at the moment and I didn’t even take a picture of it.
After we left the class, we took pictures outside the lecture halls. I didn’t take so many pictures because I wasn’t very comfortable with the fact that I was unable to plait my hair.
I took pictures with my friends as well and we headed to the sport center after. I couldn’t stay for long because the sun was scorching and I was sweating too much, so I headed home after partaking only in few of the activities.

I didn't even do any of these cutume days when I was in final year. My whole department didn't seem intersted in it, and so we all just dey our dey. More so, we didn't even have exams in the first few days of exams, so it felt redundant to dress for the occassion without any actual occassion.
"Most quiet girl..."
They searched all around and couldn't find nobody but you to hand the award to. 😂
It was then that you knew what people really thought of you. I think it's a good thing, however. It just shows that you're pretty reserved and would only speak when spoken to.
Y'all love book too much in that your department🌝. Imagine none of you having interest in the FYB week😂
If I was given the award of ‘most reserved’, I would have understood and own it with my full chest. ‘Most quiet’ feels like an exaggeration of my ‘social’ personality, tbh😭, but "yay, I brought the award home anyways😂😌"
