Hola amigos 👋 deseo que estén muy bien el día de hoy. Siempre muy entusiasmada cuando llego a la comunidad ya que me deleito observando tantas creaciones lindas e interesantes. Hace un par de días fue anunciado uno de los tan anhelados concursos patrocinados por needleworkmonday 🧵 el espacio que tenemos los creadores de contenido para compartir proyectos y experiencias relacionadas con la costura y técnicas similares en las que se involucra el uso del hilo en sus diferentes formas. 🧶 En
este Nuevo concurso nos invitan a realizar una pieza creativa sobre lo que deseemos cuya materia prima sea la tela de jean. Así que puse manos a la obra y removí todo mi escaparate buscando un trozo de jean sin usar para iniciar mi labor.

Hello friends 👋 I wish you all well today. Always very excited when I come to the community as I delight in watching so many cute and interesting creations. A couple of days ago was announced one of the long awaited contests sponsored by needleworkmonday 🧵 the space we content creators have to share projects and experiences related to sewing and similar techniques involving the use of thread in its different forms. 🧶 In
this New contest we are invited to make a creative piece on whatever we want whose raw material is jean fabric. So I got down to work and went through my shop window looking for a piece of unused denim to start my work.

Desde hace un tiempo he querido realizar un sobre de tela con muchos adornos, así que esta es la oportunidad de realizar un modelo para luego de hacer las correcciones elaborar un proyecto final con mejor acabado. Me gusta tener organizado todos los documentos importantes, por eso los conservo en sobres plásticos, de esta manera se protegen del polvo y del agua. Empecé a usar sobres plásticos cuando estudiaba en la universidad ya que algunas guías y trabajos no las podía llevar dobladas, dentro del sobre se mantienen lisas y limpias.

For some time I have wanted to make a fabric envelope with many ornaments, so this is the opportunity to make a model and after making the corrections I will elaborate a final project with a better finish. I like to keep all the important documents organized, so I keep them in plastic envelopes, this way they are protected from dust and water. I started using plastic envelopes when I was studying at the university because I couldn't carry some guides and papers folded, inside the envelope they stay smooth and clean.

Este retazo de jean lo había guardado hace un tiempo, me quedó después de hacer otro proyecto y me encanta haberlo encontrado porque el lado interno de la tela se ve muy bonita y brillante, es justamente por ese lado donde colocaré todos los adornos del sobre, es decir será el derecho o frente de la tela en mi proyecto. El proceso para la elaboración fue muy práctico; corté la parte disponible de las piernas de un jean viejo, las abrí por en medio de unas de sus costuras, tomé las medidas usando uno de mis sobres, marqué y corté.

I had saved this piece of jean some time ago, it was left over after making another project and I love having found it because the inner side of the fabric looks very nice and shiny, it is precisely on that side where I will place all the ornaments of the envelope, that is to say, it will be the right or front side of the fabric in my project. The process for the elaboration was very practical; I cut the available part of the legs of an old jean, opened them in the middle of one of the seams, took the measurements using one of my envelopes, marked and cut.

Una vez cortada las telas las sujeté con alfileres e inicié la costura. Estaba muy entretenida cosiendo a pesar de ser casi las 12 de la noche. Mientras cosía también chateaba con un amigo quien me invitó a registrarme en una página de redes sociales, me entretuve un poco leyendo y preguntándole algunos detalles. Para hacer la costura usé el hilo blanco porque solo tenía un bombillo encendido y no iba a poder ver bien el trazado si usaba el hilo azul o negro. además cosí por el lado del revés y después le di vuelta al sobre.

Once the fabrics were cut I pinned them together and started sewing. I was very entertained sewing even though it was almost 12 o'clock at night. While I was sewing I was also chatting with a friend who invited me to register in a social networking site, I entertained myself a little reading and asking him some details. I used white thread for the stitching because I only had one light bulb on and I wouldn't be able to see the stitching well if I used the blue or black thread.

Al siguiente día decidí decorar el sobre con algunas carpetitas tejidas, busqué en las imágenes guardadas en mis archivos del teléfono y encontré unos patrones muy sencillos para hacer. Cada una de estas carpetas se tejen en solo tres vueltas, las tejí de varios colores para hacer muy llamativo mi sobre. Aproveché algunos residuos de hilos que tenía en la cesta para realizarlos. Quedaron muy bonitas.

The next day I decided to decorate the envelope with some knitted folders, I searched through the images saved in my phone files and found some very simple patterns to make. Each of these folders are knitted in only three loops, I knitted them in various colors to make my envelope very eye-catching. I took advantage of some yarn scraps I had in the basket to make them. They turned out very nice.

Retomé la labor del sobre para hacer el orillo de la solapa. Esta la hice circular y me costó un poco coser sin que se arrugara. De todos modos se ve muy bien. Después conseguí un broche pequeño y se lo cosí para usar en la solapa así podré cerrar el sobre y tener el contenido asegurado. Para finalizar cosí las carpetas en frente del sobre, quise decorarlo más colocándole algunas lentejuelas y mostacillas. ¡Me encantó el resultado 💕🙋💕

I went back to the work on the envelope to make the selvage of the flap. I made this one circular and it was a little difficult to sew without it puckering. It looks great anyway. Then I got a small clasp and sewed it to use on the flap so I can close the envelope and have the contents secured. To finish I sewed the folders in front of the envelope, I wanted to decorate it more by putting some sequins and beads on it, I loved the result 💕🙋💕.

Estoy segura que usaré el sobre cada vez que vaya al médico ya que ahora piden muchos papeles al momento de ser atendida. Como ha llovido mucho recientemente seguiré usando el sobre plástico ☺️ lo llevaré adentro del nuevo, en caso de que empiece a llover mudaría los papeles de sobre y problema resuelto. Espero que les guste esta propuesta y reutilicen las telas de jeans que tienen recicladas. Me encantaría conocer las propuestas de las amigas @katiuskamata y @vicmito74 ¿Qué harían ustedes con esas telas de jeans guardadas chicas?

I am sure I will use the envelope every time I go to the doctor since they now ask for a lot of papers when I am seen. As it has been raining a lot recently I will keep using the plastic envelope ☺️ I will take it inside the new one, in case it starts to rain I will move the papers and problem solved. I hope you like this proposal and reuse your recycled jeans fabrics. I would love to know the proposals of friends @katiuskamata and @vicmito74 What would you do with those saved jeans fabrics girls?
