Northern insted of Christmas Lights

avatar

Good evening dear hivean friends,

Hope you are having a nice pre-Christmas time and that preparation for potential dinner tomorrow is in full swing.

Well with me, I have to admit that there is no special Christmas feeling; probably due to Corona virus which impact probably don’t need to be discussed there. Anyway we will gather few members of our family tomorrow and will have a nice dinner together. Nothing special or fancy but I am sure we will spent some quality time together.

One thinks that I am missing this year and is connected with Christmas spirit are traditional Christmas lights in the city. They are there and I visited the city center once this year, but that is way different than other years when I went there once per week and enjoy in walk through the city with some mulled wine or hot chocolate and listening to some concerts going on through the city. This year everything is different and we barely get shops opened for a week to buy some gifts… Ops, Santa did :)

Well with no Christmas lights photography so far, I have to share some other lights which I captured few years ago when I visited Iceland during winter period.
You probably already know what I am talking about… Famous Northern Lights.
It is not the same, but I have to admit seeing that natural phenomenon in person is really fantastic event.
Hope you will like my photos and let that be my gift for the holidays to the community… Feel free to use them!

The Aurora Borealis aka the Northern Lights is simply captivating! Anyone in its presence cannot escape its stunning beauty and I for one would easily get hypnotized by its colorful dance of lights. It’s my wildest dream to experience this natural phenomenon, I hope one day that would become true. Fantastic images!

Merry Christmas to you Andy and to your family!!! 😊

Thank you for stopping by at pre-Christmas day as well Erne! Merry Christmas to you and your close ones as well!

Aurora Borealis is trully spectacular and one of a kind. At least I never witnessed anything like it. Special moment...
To catch some good photos, is also not that easy. I hope I did OK, to present it to you here on Hive.

Well I wish you will be able to fulfil your dreams. Now is the time of the year when Santa is listening and hopefully he will hear your wish as well and make it possible somehow in the future.

First of all thank you for the follow and your kind words.
You are doing an amazing job lately with Haveyoubeenhere community posts. That is the topic I am the most at, beside photography. Really awesome work, so I am happy to support it.

Northern lights are special and I would recommend watching them to everyone, but I know it is not that easy. Probably that fact makes them even more interesting and stunning.

All the best!

I saw this in the curangel feature, congrats. That's about as bright as and picture I've seen. What month was that? I've been told late November til about February is best.

Great to hear you saw my work featured in Curangel compilation. They are supporting me on regular basis and I am grateful for that.

Thank you for your kind words and compliments.

I was there in February. Saw them two evenings out of 7. But I wasn't only hunting Northern Lights, but also seeing other beauties Iceland has to offer :)

Thanks for stopping by and keep up your great work...
