New Life!
Hey everyone, this my first hatch and quiet a successful one given the power went out twice for 6 hours and that this is a manual unit ie eggs need to be turned 3 times a day by hand.
I recently hatched around 20 broiler chicks and 1 gorgeous black layer.
These pics taken a few hours after they hatched in thr incubator. Once their feathers fully dry will pop them into a broader with a red heating lamp with food and water.
I have recently been getting a few complaints with eggs hatching badly from my existing customers, so I decided to do a little test myself and see how the hatch rates were, for myself.
The above picture my cheap manual incubator which actually works like a dream.
These are Ross 308 broiler chicks (meat birds) given the right feeding regime and conditions can reach 3-6 kgs in 6-8 weeks. Incredible right??
Below a home-made broooder box. Simply put together with nails and a little chicken wire and compressed board.
Nature the incredible.
I trust you have a wonderful week.
Love, light and blessings.
Cheer$;)
