Splinterlands | Cruel Sethropod Challenge
If anything the life this 3 mana Card has at level 6 is quite solid with 5 Health and 5 Armor. The low attack and speed along with the vulnerability to magic Damage however makes me prefer the Battle Orca a similar type Melee card that costs 3 Mana as it has more speed & more health allowing the opponent to miss more often while it can be healed still being protected by armor from the Crustacean King. Of course, as always, there are specific rules where the Cruel Sethropod will shine and the question is if they are plenty enough to justify having this card in your collection costing 8.7$ for a Level 6. Personally, I got 41 single copies but I am not sold yet on this card to actually buy more of them and merge since I own the Battle Orca at level 6 which works well with the Daria Draginscale summoner.
The Battle highlights a match where I am using the Battle Orca versus my opponent who used the Cruel Sethropod...
I opted for the Kelya Frendul Summoner instead of The Daria Dragonscale summoner as there are few game rules where it's not crazy powerful. With only 21 Mana to spend and the lowest health monster being attacked, I played The Battle Orca as the main tank followed by the Frost Lion which for sure was first to be hit on the armor while being able to attack with buffed Damage from the Pirate Captain. The Pelacor Bandit remains an excellent reward card with very high speed and Fly which makes it hard for opponents to actually hit it with Ranged or Melee attacks. the Crustacean King is a must in pretty much every Water Deck and I really like the Water Elemental which is also quite hard to kill.
My opponent had higher-level cards including a Legendary Summoner and the Doctor Blight (which I think is a highly overvalued card and not that effective). My higher overall speed along and the +1 Melee Attack from the Pirate Captain fairly comfortably won me this match. Overall this was a pretty fun match feeling fair.
