Splinterlands new promo card night stalker use in battle

We are into a new week and we have another social media challenge in splinterlands.

I had planned to purchase atleast one copy of new splinterlands promo card of night stalker and I got one today with it costing 3K dec and I wasn't hoping of any gold foiled one as the rule says, we get one guaranteed gold foil version for every 25 cards we purchase.

I don't afford 25 copies of this monster right now, but with my blogging rewards, i should be able to upgrade it one day and hopefully, once the promo sale is over, we might get it cheaper as people who have brought it in bulk may sell it far a cheaper price if they get gold foiled versions as well.

So, it cost 3K dec and i got one regular foiled version as shown below.

So, this battle I am sharing with that level 1 night stalker used was with just 18 mana cost limit and i always feel the fire splinter is one of the best with so many sneak ability monsters available and i though of going with fire splinter with cards used as follows.

Lineup:

1. Antoid platoon

Antoid platoon is always the safe choice when we have less mana cost limit as it has the scavenger ability to increase it's health when a monster dies and it's armors also help it to avoid getting removed early from melee and ranged attacks and it has another ability of shield which allows it to get less damage from melee and ranged attack monsters.

2. Radiated Brute:

It is always a good ally to antoid platoon as it is a reach ability monster to attack from second line first position and it has good attack of 4 and also have enrage ability to increase it's attack and speed when it gets hit.

3. Night Stalker:

The promo card monster of night stalker was used for testing in this battle and it helped to destroy 2 monsters with it's sneak attack.

4. Scorch Fiend:

As we are into a less mana limit battles, we can always expect sneak attack and hence, this and next monsters were used for sneak attack.

5. Chaos Agent:

This being with dodge and phase ability, there are more chances of it not getting hit from melee attack of sneak ability monsters.

So, this combination was used against other person also using fire splinter and he used a totally different combination with ferox defender, gobalano soldier and uraeus as his monsters and gobalano soldier with ambush ability, got to attack 2 times in first round and removed the chaos agent and uraeus removed the scorch fiend. But the night stalker was able to remove uraeus and other 2 monsters were removed by combination of antoid platoon and radiated brute, but the final touch was given by night stalker as it only finished the battle by removing gobalano soldier in the end and battle got completed.

Night stalker seems a good option but at level 1, it has just 2 health and that could be a risky one against major sneak attack.
