Advantages of having repair, triage and stun ability monsters in all ranged attack battle

Happy to see that the social media challenge is up for this week and it's an opportunity for me to write another blog and earn some crypto to invest in sps and to have it staked to earn better rewards from the battle.

As always, i thank all the supporters and i would like to share a battle with all ranged attack monsters involved as the battle i am sharing is with "going the distance" ruleset.

Here i share the details of the battle.


Battle and Lineup:

So, as we can see in above pic, the battle is with going the distance, lost legendaries and armored up rulesets and the battle had 57 mana cost cap.

Except fire, all the other splinters were active for this battle and i felt i should use the water splinter with summoner kelua frendul as it can provide additional armors and i will use repair and triage ability monsters with wave brood in last position to make all monsters chase it and front monster can stay long in the battle.

Ok, let me explain about the monsters i used.

Lineup:

Venari marksrat:

Used this martyr monster as i wanted to use gargoya devil in second position and get the extended stats due to martyr ability of this monster.

So, when this monster is removed, it can increase all the statistics for gargoya devil.


Gargoya devil:

This is the only monster with close range ability in my lineup, so had to preserve it for making it battle for more time in the battle.

This monster is also with flying ability and can skip the attack from few monsters since it has that flying ability.


Igor darkspear:

Used this monster to stun the front monster and also utilize it's 2 ranged attack as the battle is going to be a fierce one with other person also using good monsters and the summoner providing those monsters with close range ability for all monsters used on the other side.


Angelic mandarin:

Angelic mandarin is the monster with triage ability and as i used the last monster wave brood which is with taunt ability and all monsters will be attacking that.

The triage ability from this monster will help wave brood to regain some health and allow other monsters to stay alive and attack monsters on other side.


Swamp spitter:

Since only ranged attack monsters allowed for this battle, the armors play important role as the armors will keep main health intact and monsters can attack other monsters.

This monster is with repair ability and that will rebuild the armors of the one of the monsters in each round and that will help monsters from getting removed.


Wave brood:

As i mentioned above, this monster with taunt ability is used so that, all the monsters will attack on it and front monster i used will stay longer in the battle and other monsters can attack the monsters used by opponent.

This monster is also a ranged attack monster and provides 2 ranged attack in each round besides taunting the monsters.


I just want to explain a bit about the battle.

In battle as we see, opponent has used summoner fernheart which will give close range ability to all the monsters it calls which will help each monster to attack from the front position and that is a big advantage to the opponent, but the taunt monster i used in wave brood is just the counter to that close range and monsters will attack wave brood instead of front monster venari marksrat and angelic mandarin just before it attacks, it will heal the health of wave brood because of triage ability it has and that is how, the monsters will keep attacking the wave brood and angelic mandarin will keep healing it and this continues and my monsters will attack and remove each and every monster used by opponent.

One more thing to notice is, the igor darkspear is with stun ability and it always stuns the monster it attacks in most of the cases and that means, the front monster will be not allowed to attack and all the secondline monsters used by opponent will be attacking wave brood, so this i feel was a good tactic to win this battle and battle ended in 16 rounds and although in the end, it was like i am going to lose, the repair of swamp spitter kept building the armors for angelic mandarin and the last monster used by opponent venari smith although had huge health, it couldn't remove angelic mandarin as the armors were always there when it attacked until 16 rounds.

Finally, the swamp spitter removed the venari seedsmith to win the battle for me.

Usually, the "going the distance" battles will be mostly lost by me, but this different tactic allowed me to win against better monsters and better ability.
