Medical compatibility in a romantic couple refers to the potential health implications of their genetic combination. Some couples may be genetically incompatible, meaning that their combination can increase the risk of passing on certain medical conditions to their offspring. Many intending couples make this mistake of not checking their compatibility, while others do but have this belief that a miracle will happen, especially those that discover that their genotype doesn't match but since they are in love, they will go ahead and get married and in the end, they only have themselves to blame.
Here is a list of medical compatibility tests all intending couples need to go for:

*GENOTYPE: we all know that genotype is very important when it comes to medical compatibility, cause without this test, you are bound to have a sickler in your house, and having a sickle is not an easy job, it will take you time, your money and even your happiness. At some point, you get frustrated taking care of them but you have to continue, mind you the Innocent kids will be suffering too. Although there is a way out of it, do you have the money to keep checking whenever you are pregnant to know if the baby is a sickler or not?
Given the seriousness of sickle cell disease, doctors often advise that specific genotype groupings should not pair up in marriage to avoid the risk of kid(s) with the sickle cell condition. They include AS, AC, SS, and SC genotypes. Here is to help you know who you are compatible with.

RHESUS FACTOR/BLOOD GROUP:This one here is the most ignored among other tests. People think that this particular test is not important but this test here is the reason why some women are barren till today. Yes, you hear me barren. If you refuse to run this test go ahead to get pregnant and you might miscarry except if your partner's rhesus factor and yours are compatible because if manage to give birth that might be your only child. Blood type: is determined by the molecules on the surface of the red blood cells (RBCs). In general, we can classify someone’s blood type by the absence or presence of A or B antigens and Rh factors on the surface of blood cells. The most commonly recognized blood groups are A positive, A negative, B positive, B negative, AB positive, AB negative, O positive, and O negative.

The positive or negative sign next to the blood groups is known as the Rhesus (Rh) factor. The Rh factor is an inherited protein that can be found on the surface of the red blood cell.

If your blood type is positive, then your blood cells have the Rh protein.
If your blood type is negative, then your blood cells lack the Rh protein. It

*H.I.V 1,2 AND AIDS: YOU don't need someone to tell you to run this test cause even your church will help you run it. Make sure to know your partner's HIV status, don't assume just because he or she looks healthy that he or she is clean. Aids or h.i.v is not written on the face and the symptoms don't show early until it has become aids.

STD SCREENING:this one is also important, try and run this test once in a while, you don't even need to be in a relationship or intend to get married. Just do it as a regular check-up to check for syphilis, staphylococcus, candidiasis, and other infections that can affect the reproductive system. In this test don't forget to run for hepatitis

Hepatitis A:A highly contagious liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus.

Fertility test & semen analysis: Fertility testing is the process by which fertility is assessed, both generally and also to find the "fertile window" in the menstrual cycle. This particular test is to check if the woman is fertile or not. There is this infection that causes infertility in women too, which is called Chlamydia.
Semen analysis is for men to check their sperm count, whether it's low, or if is enough to impregnate a woman.

I have taken time to list steps that intending couples and lovers should run. When is the right time to run this test? When you get into a defined relationship both of you should run the test especially if both of you don't use protection each time, you make out.
