CineTV Contest: Up: A high adventure
Hello my CineTv people, I want to participate in the Contest #48 and I will start by answering a few questions:
Is Valentine's Day celebrated where you live and, if so, how?
If here in my country Venezuela on February 14 we celebrate the Day of love and friendship, and that day we give gifts to our loved ones, and it is that day where everything smells like roses and chocolate, balloons and gifts overflow the city, and especially now in this technological age WhatsApp statuses show the love of their lives, many times I consider a little ridiculous some people who all year live killing each other and the day of love and friendship are the most loving couple in the world.
Is the movie you have chosen something you feel like watching on this holiday?
Yes, I love this movie that I have chosen, because even though the main distraction is when Carl does not allow them to take away the house where he lived all his life with his wife Ellie who died leaving him alone in the house, with the most beautiful memories and among these memories was that Ellie had a dream of going to Paradise Falls, that dream Carl considers it very important and between the scenes the love of the couple that is shown there and the gestures of affection are so important that even the smallest details are the most important token of love.
What themes in the film connect you with love and romance?
The most important theme is the fulfillment of goals and dreams together, love has no boundaries despite death, it is fought, it is lived, it is felt and that is what Carl showed us by fulfilling his wife's dream even though she was no longer by his side.
Do you prefer romantic comedies to romantic dramas?
I prefer romantic comedies, for drama myself, and I often get so involved in these dramatic movies that I end up crying.
Does humor add to the fun?
Yes, of course humor is the way to go in any situation if there is good humor there is fun and especially if we share it with the person we love.
How does humor contribute to the story?
Humor plays an important role in seeing life, showing that it is never too late to have fun and enjoy the moments.
Do you think the characters in the film are the perfect choice?
The characters fulfilled their role, they were all wonderfully indispensable in taking us soaring to the heights.
What would you have done differently with the story if you could?
Perhaps if Ellie hadn't passed away, the adventures would have made a lot more sense, and Carl wouldn't have been so sad and lonely.

On the other hand.
What you liked or hated....
I liked the love that there was between Carl and Ellie it was so wonderful, so pure, well there is very little of this love in the world.
How it influenced you (and/or the people around you).
I influence that we should appreciate the people we love, we don't know when they might leave us.
► What part did you find most interesting.
That despite all the setbacks Carl had in raising his house with elium balloon belts, and that at one point he thought his adventure would be done alone, he got a good adventure partner in Russell, the little boy who was an explorer, had embarked on his home and was of great motivation to continue.
► Any scene that still comes to mind.
I love when the house arrives at Paradise Falls, it feels like it has come home, like it has always been there, and Carl's reassurance that he has fulfilled that grandiose dream to his wife, that is truly Love.

► Actors/Actresses performance that left an impression on you.
Little Russell, showed that loneliness is never good, that our actions should be done with love and respect for others, that we can accomplish many things if we are 10 years old or if we are 60 years old, enjoy the good times.

► Why you find it meaningful and great (or not).
If it is meaningful, it has a wonderful message about love, fun and above all of life.
