Women in Blockchain, Why We need More on Hive
Since I began my journey on the blockchain five years ago, I have observed more men than women actively participating. The majority of female users who are active on the blockchain appear to be men. I have also seen a number of women participating now, the usual trend with men always leading appears to be changing.
The number of active female users of the blockchain that statistical analysis would have provided me with would have better support me, but even without that, it is already a fact that more women are venturing into the crypto business nowadays. Social networking sites from the Web 2 appear to have increased the number of women who enjoy using the Internet and engaging in other Internet based activities.
A lot of women now browse and enjoy themselves on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok etc. They can connect with a variety of people from all over the world using these platforms to engage in social interactions, share their thoughts, images, and videos. A growing number of women are now spending more time online due to the alluring features of these platforms.
Web 3 blockchain is currently pushing social media to new heights. Web3 decentralised systems offer far more potentials to their users than Web 2 ever did, however few people have paid attention to them. Women appear to be lagging behind men who are actively utilising the blockchain investing in cryptocurrency.
A lot of women have always perceived cryptocurrency differently, but this perception seem to be shifting. Previously, they considered online businesses and crypto investment to be manly pursuits and never gave them the attention they needed. A lot of women have not previously found learning about crypto and exploring the world of cryptocurrency to be particularly enjoyable.
Women Can Make Great Impacts On Hive
To create a strong ecosystem, I believe women can make a substantial contribution. Women wield a tremendous amount of power when it comes to commercialising a product and making a brand a household name. They can easily enthice and are more of a natural influencers who can swiftly win over a sizable audience to a business cause.
Women can significantly make a business become more well-known, which is one of the reasons why the majority of advertisements often involve women. On Hive I see the ladies of Hive community to be doing great. With their actitivies and frequent engagement, people who have never given crypto the attention it required will see the gender gap to be closing here on Hive.
Their participation here would result in a more diverse and inclusive community and this will instill confidence in other women to consider investment in Hive. Women are known to possess a caring attitude and love, which frequently entices the opposite sex. More ladies joining us here and becoming involved with cryptocurrency can genuinely help to bring on board more people.
This is how many businesses have benefited from women using their power to their advantage to promote and sell their brands. In the case of the cryptocurrency industry women can be great influencers as well, increasing participation by women will increase others interest in crypto business and investment.
Women are really good people to help build a better blockchain. Ler us share more to invite them through education. Thanks, bro.
Yes, their presence and participation would mean a lot for Hive
Diversity is the greatest thing to ensure growth and innovation. Women or men, everybody finds a place on Hive and comes with something new to this space. We need to expand, open our eyes, and simply explore new things!
