Becoming a True Professional
Most people go through life settling for less and live in their comfort zones, but there are those who never stop pushing beyond their comfort zone, learning and striving to be the best. Such people become excellent in whatever they do and, in the course of time, stand out as professionals in respectable fields.
As time goes by, they develop a reputation not only for competence but for excellence. I learned much from experience that going beyond the bounds of what will be considered "enough" by anybody is the key to mastering any craft. It is in this relentless pursuit of growth that the best performers differ, and through this, a person manages to rise to the top in his or her respective field or niche.
Speaking of which, my personal favorite example would have to be the all the work I see Raf doing. @mynewlife recent work has been the the Water Direct Project, a documentary on our borehole project in Ghana. Having viewed the trailer, I can confidently say it's some amazing piece of work! I recall having chatted with him did some work with him while he was working hard on the movie and even then, I could tell it was going to be something special.
Right from the trailer, one can see how creative and committed he has been and kind of effort put into the movie making. It's clear this is the work of an absolute professional. If you haven't seen the trailer yet, I highly recommend doing so,its already on Youtube
Another person whose work I am impressed with is @rubencress. He is quite a talented photographer, Ruben. Last year was the first time I saw his work, and I was just marveled at how he does photography. I was looking forward to meeting him at the recent TechEx conference in Amsterdam, but some unforeseen circumstances got in the way. Hopefully there will be another time for us to meet.Still, his work speaks volumes for itself. The pictures he took during the conference were really nice and reflected his eye for detail. Much has been said by @mcsamm about Ruben, and I believe that too; he is an asset to the Hive community.
His photos are well beyond pictures; they're a great piece of work. They remind us that greatness does not come overnight, but rather it is a product of dedication, working hard, and wanting to learn even more. This work inspires me to keep growing in my craft, and I hope it does the same for you. It takes time for success to show its head; it takes time to become a professional, but once committed and persistent, excellence is achievable.
good luck with your interest looking forward for more sharing of shoots
The last paragraph is motivating, greatness only comes when you put in the work and stay consistent.
Yes it is and it is as you say, greatness comes by being consistent and hardworking
