This post is another update on the ongoing Hive Borehole project in Chanshegu, Northern Region, Ghana. The previous update provided detailed information about the first phase, which primarily involved drilling and mechanization. The drilling process was successfully completed last week, and the final works to end the phase include conducting pump testing, water checks, and treatment.

These checks are extremely important to ensure the safety of the water for drinking purposes and to evaluate the functionality of the pump at varying flow rates, aligning it with the water level within the borehole

The progress of the project has been steady thus far, and we are now preparing to commence the next phase of construction. This phase focuses on the structural development that will give the project a new form. Within this phase, a series of construction tasks will be carried out by masons, carpenters, and electrical engineer.

The work will begin with the foundation construction for the water tanks and the wall on which the taps will be installed, aiming to improve water accessibility and convenience. We have successfully contracted the necessary professionals and acquired all the materials required to commence Phase 2 of the project.

Thanks to the support of the Chanshegu town leaders, we have secured a suitable storage location for all the materials needed for the construction work. With the required materials in place and the contracted experts ready to begin, the estimated timeframe for completing this phase is approximately one week, assuming all goes according to plan.

With the three-week timeline in place and the progress we have made so far, we are optimistic about accomplishing the project work to a high standard and completing it within the set timeframe. The residents of Chanshegu eagerly anticipate the timely completion of the new project, as they eagerly await its availability for community use.

As we continue to work on Phase 2, we are also concurrently planning for the final phase, which will focus on media publicity to unveil the positive impacts of the Hive project to a wider audience. Great teamwork and community support from the Chanshegu town leaders have been instrumental in the success we have achieved thus far. Hopefully, by next week, we will be nearing the completion of the entire project, marking another significant milestone.

We extend our gratitude to the wonderful team(@samed10 and @depressedfuckup) at the North, Ghana, whose supervision has been pivotal in ensuring that all project workers are doing work well. We would also like to express our appreciation to everyone who has supported this worthy cause, enabling Hive to continue making a great difference. Thank you for your attention and time.
