My First Experience At TechEx Global-UK, Representing Hive
It was an incredibly pleasant experience at the TechEx Global International Conference and Expo held at London Olympia. This marked its second conference in Europe this year, following the first one in October in Amsterdam. I was supposed to attend with @mcsamm and other remarkable personalities from Hive, including @rubencress, but I was engaged with my academic work in the UK. Nevertheless, I was delighted to have attended the London episode and to have experienced the conference's impact and exposure.
The conference showcased a convergence of businesses and individuals with cutting-edge innovations, insights, and expertise, all gathered in one place to share their in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, network, and promote their innovations. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from various presentations by startups, tech experts, and businesses from around the world.
The event was truly informative and educational, featuring a series of presentations throughout the conference. We were fortunate to be there, all thanks to @guiltyparties for facilitating and ensuring a successful registration. The conference spanned two days, and @mcsamm and I had to stay in London for both sessions from November 30th to December 1st.
Day 1
The first day was fantastic, boasting a large turnout. The London Olympia auditorium was fully packed with attendees, mostly comprising tech professionals and businesses showcasing their booths for various presentations. The focus was predominantly on blockchain, Web 3, and NFTs,Metaverse. Many presentations emphasized blockchain and Web 3, indicating a growing interest and adoption. It was evident how people are recognizing the potential to build the next generation enterprise with Web 3.
Given our enthusiasm for blockchain and Web 3, we dedicated more time to the Blockchain Expo, where we followed Web 3 and blockchain enthusiasts sharing valuable insights. Although we were attendees, the event provided a wonderful opportunity for @mcsamm and me to connect with others while also giving more exposure to Hive. This place means business, with serious-minded individuals involved in innovation, marketing, and networking. Approaching anyone becomes a great opportunity for you to also share your business ideas, everyone also looks out for what you have to offer.
The Hive blockchain and the numerous innovations within the ecosystem provided us with a strong foundation for networking with others in the same space or from different fields. We engaged in conversations with various individuals who were highly impressed by the Hive blockchain and the revolution taking place within the blockchain landscape, particularly when we highlighted its thriving ecosystem and real-life use cases.
Based on my firsthand experience, I think Hive should focus more on participating in conferences for marketing purposes and exposure. TechEx Global provides a significant platform that can effectively showcase your brand to diverse personalities worldwide. Hive has immense potential to capture attention. While we often discuss how Hive has revolutionized the blockchain landscape and positively impacted lives, the next thing to do is to project these achievements to the rest of the world, especially to those who haven't witnessed the impacts firsthand.
I was pleased with Hive's initiative to present in Amsterdam last October, where many were inspired by the social impacts the Hive ecosystem has made possible particularly with the Hive Empowers Communities Projects In Ghana. By actively participating and representing Hive in such events, various approaches, including the use of different tools, can be employed to guide people through our ecosystem and help them connect with Hive.
Day 2
On day two, we had another session of presentations, delving into areas such as cybersecurity, IoT, AI, and more. The presentation on AI, a rapidly rising field, garnered significant interest due to its potential to simplify tasks. Meeting with Chris Comer, an event organizer for a talk, happens to be one of the great time we had. This was very important; meeting Chris offered us a nice time to brainstorm many ideas, particularly with regard to what @mcsamm and I intend to do in Africa for Hive, starting in Ghana.
We believe such opportunities could be offered in different parts of the world, with Hive being a major player in the event. He was particularly interested in the idea and what he saw as a wonderful opportunity that many around different parts of the world would be much interested in. We spent time talking more about Hive, and he commended Hive's efforts in being part of the conference.
We were also suppose to meetup with @alessandrawhite and others in London, but unfortunately, we missed them. Well she had plans for January and hope we can plan something together. In all, it was an impactful event that has given us an opportunity to learn. We are grateful to have been part of this, and it was a great privilege, I would say, to have represented Hive and explore several opportunities. I'm thankful to the Hive community for the opportunity and also to the Hive Ghana community for their support towards all the social impacts that have been made possible with Hive in Ghana.
It sounds like a very fruitful conference with a lot of info and connections!

Cool stuff. I just found some pics from when I was there in 2019. A bunch of St--mit users gathered there and hung out. Unfortunately some of them are not active on Hive. We need to build more of a UK community that could get more organised. I hope to see you around next year.
It was an awesome time there, and I think this conference is important for most Hivers to attend, more importantly, to use as a good opportunity to showcase Hive to the rest of the world. We really wanted to hang out with you guys last time, but then we missed you. I look forward to another opportunity next year, and just like you said, it's important we build a vibrant UK community. Hope we can plan something big next year, @steevc
