How Mindsets Are Shaped and Why It Matters, You Know

avatar

The environment in which you grow up significantly shapes your mindset. Consider those born into royalty, living in palaces; they lead a secluded life with a distinct belief in their uniqueness. They are taught that they are special or different from any other person. Similarly, individuals raised in affluence or those born into good homes or families have a mindset vastly different from those born into poor homes. In each case, different backgrounds contribute to different mindsets, creating unique individuals with distinct perceptions.

Growing up, I used to say I wouldn't invest in an expensive phone; I thought those who opted for big brand names were overspending without practical reasons. Over time, following a change in my environment and status, I began to realize how and where I was brought up had influenced my thought patterns. Our thought patterns are easily molded by several factors, including life experiences, education, society, media, and, more especially, our environment.

It's not surprising for influential individuals to invest more in things that might seem extravagant to the average person. While some may view it as wasteful spending, for the affluent, it's not just about their ability to afford it; it's about their unique perception of value, their risk tolerance, strategic investment plan they have learned, and their unique perspective on wealth creation and management.

A positive mindset, I realized, is important since it contributes to a person's overall well-being and life satisfaction. I discovered that having a positive mindset attracts not only wealth but also positive experiences. In any environment where wealth thrives, there is positive thinking. Rich individuals know this; they embrace risk, focus on potential returns rather than on initial investments. Their positive outlook on investments stems from a longstanding pattern of optimistic thinking.

It truly matters the kind of thoughts you allow yourself to be imbued with. Thoughts arise from the things we permit ourselves to engage with, and these may come from the people we mingle with, the things we watch, read, follow, or listen to. We can gain so much inspiration that fuels success when we start listening, watching, reading, following, and mingling with those who have cultivated a positive mindset.

No one can think outside his/her environment. We are the product of our environment

I used to think the environment where we grow in has little to no impact on our lives but I was wrong.

We are mostly influenced by our environment and that's true.

Even scientists have proven environment to be a major factor in so many things.
The influence of the environment is underrated.
Sometimes we work so hard to achieve a certain goal but in the wrong environment which is sad.
