Expanding Water Access with 16th Borehole in Dingoni, Ghana

With the 15th borehole now in place, we begin construction of the 16th borehole. As announced at the start of the 15th borehole project, construction of the two boreholes was planned to happen simultaneously. However, these plans changed due to unsuitable geological conditions for driling as identified by surveyors in the originally chosen beneficiary town.

This is a common challenge, but not an insurmountable one. However, ensuring that high-quality work is achieved requires a careful planning other than that everything can end in waste. We are happy to announce that the Dingoni community, also in Tamale, will be the next village to benefit from the borehole.

We held several successful meetings with community leaders, who were enthusiastic about the news and welcomed our team to begin construction. They have allocated a portion of land for the project and it is where the surveyors began their work as part of the project's first phase. The land survey was successful, confirming the presence of abundant underground water with no underlying conditions that would prevent drilling.

Completion of the survey paves the way for drilling to begin, along with other project phases. All work is scheduled for this week and with a proposed one-week timeline for completion. We hope to bring all work to closure and launch the project this week if all plans goes well. Dingoni is one of many villages in the Northern Region, Ghana facing significant water challenges.

This project will be a lifesaver for many residents who have struggled with water Access. This is the essence of the Hive Empowers Communities Project: empowering communities for positive change. By the close of this week, we will have beautiful narrative about how Hive has made a lasting difference in another town. We look forward to working on all project phases and will continue to share updates on all developments. Thank you for your time and attention.

Beautiful work! It's encouraging to see that you're all taking the time to be sure that everything is done properly. They say that anything worth doing is worth doing right.

Is there any way to support the project directly? I may not be able to dig the boreholes myself, but if there's any way that myself or other Hive community members could contribute to the project, I'd be more than happy to do so.
