Breaking Ground: Hive's Borehole Construction Phase 1 Begins Tomorrow

Tomorrow, we will be breaking ground to begin the sixth Hive project of the year in Ghana. Like all our previous borehole projects, this one will be completed in three phases. The project site is in Asamang, a town located in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region. After meeting with town leaders, we identified a location for the borehole project that is convenient and accessible to the local community.

Asamang is a large town where accessing water is a major challenge. Currently, the only manual or hand pump borehole that serves the community is in poor condition, forcing people to travel long distances to obtain water.

We realized that constructing a new Hive borehole, in addition to renovating the old one, would significantly alleviate the water crisis in the area. Consequently, the new borehole will supplement the existing one to provide a reliable source of water for the entire town.

The news of our upcoming projects has been met with enthusiasm and support from all corners of the community. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to make a difference in the town and leave a lasting impression through the work of Hive.

This project is to make a significant impact with Hive and we are committed to seeing them through to completion. By working closely with local leaders and other stakeholders we seek to get the best job done and the project completed successfully within the time line set.

We begin the first phase of the construction work tomorrow. The drilling company will be on site to initiate the drilling process, which is a critical step in all the constructional phases. Prior to drilling, a thorough survey of the area and underground water sources is conducted to determine the ideal location for the borehole.Again the drillers would need to check to see that there is no obstructions to hinder the drilling process.

Following the drilling would be installation of PVC pipes and the phase would finally be completed with the installation of the water pump. The drilling company will be responsible for overseeing all of these construction phases, including the renovation of the old borehole system. We look forward to having a successful work done and proceed to next two phase to finally complete all project work.

Working with the Asamang townleaders who are dedicated to seeing the project come to life, as well as the excited town residents anticipating the impact of Hive on their community, has been an amazing experience. We have formulated plans to generate widespread publicity for the project's launch.
