Is Recession here or is just Precaution

I have been applying for new jobs for the last 1 month and hear that the position is on hold or they have frozen the hiring or other things. I am not saying that hiring is not happening at all, but the domain I am looking for is actually the case. Mainly this is because the companies have over-hired in the last 2 years and thus the company's revenue is not justifying the salaries thus we see a lot of companies firing people as well as freezing the positions.

Now the question is, is it because of the recession or it is just the precaution they are taking so that they will not hire more people? I think the recession is going to happen, might be in another 2 months or 6 months no one knows. But this recession will not b like the previous ones, it might be the small one but actually, I am not really sure. What I am sure of is that the recession is around the corner.

The pandemic has changed a lot of dynamics and thus something is needed to make everything coming on track with some war going on around the world it is just making things worse for us. Now the best thing to do is to fill our pockets with as many savings as we can but for salaried people like us, the recession hit hard and thus we can see the firing going on around the world for some companies. Though there is hiring going on that is not as much as we used to see 1 year back. Like 1 year back I used to see almost every company was hiring.

I think as of now it is not a recession but a precaution and waiting for that recession which will be around the corner.
