Treefarm Monochrome Monday

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to share my last few photos from the tree farm we went to a few weeks ago!

Treefarm Monochrome Monday

A few weeks ago we went to a tree farm to take some family photos. Man it was a beautiful place that's for sure!

We've been trying to take family photos every year for the last few years. Since my son isn't getting any younger, and neither are my wife and I, we are trying to document the growth and changes of us all over the years. We make them into Christmas cards of course, but for the most part we make sure to use it to have a record of how things are changing as time goes on. Time really does fly that's for sure!

The tree farm we went to is beautiful. It's not one we've been to before, which isn't surprising as there are quite a few of them in the local area, but this one is definitely a beautiful one! We love how quaint it was, and how they've got all kinds of stuff set up for photographers to bring clients and take some nice family photos. That's the stuff that we look for for sure!

We lucked out too because the weather was fairly decent. It certainly could have been nicer out, but it wasn't in the low 30's with a crazy wind chill or anything. We certainly enjoyed the outing and we got lots of family photos which was great.

The other thing that I made sure to do while I was there was to take some photos for the Hive fam here! I love how the area is laid out for sure. There are some elements of it that I really enjoyed, but refrained from taking photos of because we don't need every detail of the event, but it's nice to take some generic ones so that I can sprinkle them into posts in the future. The trees are really well kept which is nice! I'm sure it takes a fair bit of time to manage these trees, which is kind of ironic. You'd think that a Christmas tree farm would be low maintenance, but I think like anything, if you want them to do well you have to maintain them!

The little nick nacks all over the place was a lot of fun. We used all of them and took various photos of the three of us, some of just my son, some of just me and my son, and my wife and my son. The variety was something we didn't do much of before for whatever reason but we knew that we should do it now while we still can. I don't know how many more years we will get these types of things out of our son so we are taking advantage of it while we can! :D

I think the photos were also quite fun to do a little bit of editing. I didn't go nuts with these ones here, but I like how different they are between the black and white and the color ones. That is a nice thing that happens. Some photos don't change much but these came out pretty cool!

Although they say that nature is better suited to color photography, it doesn't mean that black and white doesn't have its own magic, it creates and captures contrast and harmony in the scenes just as I appreciate your photographs. Best regards !
