Slim Pickins Monochrome Monday
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share a few more photos but this time of recent black and whites.
Slim Pickins Monochrome Monday
I am trying to remember if this time last year as as chaotic as it is right now..
I think it's certainly just that time of year. I believe that this time last year was pretty chaotic, but this time is definitely more intense. We are so much busier both personally and at work. It's been challenging for me to get some time to do other things, even though I want to!
The photography piece is one that has taken a little bit of a hit unfortunately, but I am hoping to get that sorted out in the coming days and weeks. We've been doing a lot of things on the personal side that aren't as entertaining as going for lots of walks like we normally would but it's for important reasons. Nothing horrible, to be honest, but just important stuff we are getting done now to prevent issues later.
This has had a knock-on effect for me, and I've found it tricky. I normally am always out there taking photos and having plenty of things to talk about and write. Of late though, I've been a little slim in that department! I think one of the things is that I've largely stopped writing at night, favoring doing it in the morning before work. That has worked out pretty well for several weeks, but the last 2 weeks or so, it's been brutal. I've had to start work early instead of on-time or fashionably late. Not the worst thing at the end of the day, but it has had a ripple effect on the things that I enjoy doing otherwise.
I am glad that I've at least got hundreds of photos in the various folders I've got set up. Thousands more still sitting on the various media that we have, and that gives me a lot of material to work with. I do prefer fresh material but it's always nice to take a step back into the past and look at some photos like these, see what they elicit in terms of mental thoughts and what we can do to keep things going forward in terms of hobbies like writing.
We are going on a little adventure tomorrow, and I am looking forward to it. We are taking some family photos, which I won't be sharing, but I will have an opportunity to do some stuff and get some photos taken! That's going to be a good thing for me, as it will give me the chance to get some additional photos for the days and weeks ahead, as well as gives me some good family time.
I think one of the important things for me with the photos, is that it gives me some ability to think back on the day and event. Black and white do it a lot stronger for some reason. I wonder if there is some biochemical reason for that, or if I am just bullshitting hahaha. At any rate though, the black and white ones elicit a deeper thought and review from me so that's why I thoroughly enjoy this week to week!

People who love winters are now grown and so the morning view is going to be a lot more beautiful.
That's for sure! The winter does make someone a little bit stronger, I think.
It has been said that some colors helps some people memory wise....
Maybe that's what you're experiencing...
That could be quite true! I know there are a lot of fascinating things that are deep within our brains and psyche we don't really know about.
the same with me! when I am looking at the photo, I always remember time, place, and even my mood when the photo was made. It's like a time machine to the past. and it's great power and photo magic.
Yeah it is one of the most powerful ways a photo can change somebody. I have fond memories of most of the photos that I've got on my computer. I recall so much of the memories and I think it's fascinating. We just need a little reminder to unlock the file in our brains!

So photos are our triggers;)
