Sandy Cheeks Beer Saturday
Hi fellow Beer lovers,
Today I wanted to share a beer that traveled quite a distance to be finally drank! Lol
Sandy Cheeks Beer Saturday
With enjoying some beers, one of the things that I like to be able to do is sit down in the evening and enjoy one. We recently took a nice vacation and traveled all over the place to a few different states. I wanted to grab something to enjoy in the evenings and decided that this beer seemed to be a good fit!
When traveling, one of the things that I try to notice is what places have for local offerings. This one here was in South Carolina and it was a little challenging to find a local beer! Most of the beers there were trash like Coors Light, Blue Moon and others that are mainstream beers and breweries. I wasn't too happy with that! Lol. It took a little bit of scanning the case but I eventually found a local beer and it was a 6 pack instead of what is normally a 4 pack where we live. I scooped it right on up!
It was good to find one that was from South Carolina, precisely where we were staying at at the time. I could have certainly grabbed a pack of Blue Moon, which are indeed a delicious beer, but I wanted to make sure that when I was doing traveling like that I was going to support the local brewers and companies!
The other thing that usually gets me is the art on the cans. The art here was perfect, it was my style hahaha. Out of shape and a little sun burned but definitely white as a ghost on the ass. I can relate to that art for sure hahaha.
The best part of it though! The taste! It was a pretty damn good and smooth IPA. I wouldn't say that it was a favorite of mine but it was enjoyable as it poured nicely, had a nice tart flavor to it and went down quite well. What was a little awkward with it was that the cans were 12 ounce instead of the typical 16 ounce that I'm usually able to buy. Drinking one can felt a little bit insufficient so I said screw it and went for 2! It filled up the mason jar, my typical method for drinking some brews lately since all my beer glasses are packed away waiting for the move, so that worked out quite well. The beer went down nice and smoothly and before I knew it, the whole jar was empty! I was dismayed but it was for the best, as I didn't need to get drunk and have a bad night and next day lol
The original spot that I was going to drink a brew or two! We didn't end up keeping this room which worked out for us in the end but I was a little bit sad that I wasn't going to be able to sit atop this really high balcony and drink a beer or two and listen to the waves lol The room we got was for sure a good one but with how things ended up going I didn't get to drink the beers that I bought until we got home! Such is life sometimes, but it was good to be able to take the brews home with me so that I could give it a proper pour and enjoyment in the comfort of our home.

Nothing sucks more than going from pints to twelvers! 🤣
That sound a delicious though from your description. I’ve never seen that one either, so when I do, now I’ll be stoked!
Lol I know dude it’s hard to go down to something that feels so small! ..that’s what she said.
Lol haven’t pulled out one of those in a long ass time.
Happy Easter man! Going to set up the stuff for the little man now, beer is done and now I’m ready for action lol
Hahaha!! Well played sir :)
hahaha I love the name and the can design too xD. I honestly wish I could bring some of craft beer I have to enjoy at home like your but from what I read, alcohol tax duty is quite a big where I am from 😅 so, no craft foreign beer for me once I am home.
That’s pretty annoying, if there’s one thing that kills us all at various points it’s damn taxes! Lol
The beer was great but I loved the can! Lol
Glad to see you are enjoying your drink. This drink taste is amazing.
