Fruity Monochrome Monday
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share some photos from this past summer of the various delicious fruit we enjoyed!
Fruity Monochrome Monday
This summer, like the past few summers, we've spent a lot of time going fruit picking. It's been a wonderful tradition of ours, and one that I know and look forward to for many more years to come. It's such an important thing to be able to do, in my opinion!
Getting to go to a farm is a treat for anyone, I think. There are a lot of people who have no idea about what it's like to visit a farm and that's a shame but I do feel some hope for the future. I see a lot more city people that are visiting farms and I know that it's a culture shock for them, but I am really glad and appreciative that they are taking the time to come and visit the farms. It's so important to get out of the cities and experience what life is really like outside the concrete jungle!
This summer was a little different than the last in that we tried to go and explore another farm or two in terms of fruit picking. We found another farm that does cherries which is wonderful! Fresh cherries are absolutely one of our favorite treats, and the little man got to enjoy them quite a bit this summer. We went a few different times to the cherry farms and loaded right on up with them! We froze about 10 pounds of them, but in October they are already gone hahaha. They didn't make it past August but that's okay! We do this because it's really important that my son eats and gets to enjoy the freshest and healthiest fruits and food possible.
It's not always possible to do this 7 days a week, given a busy schedule and all that. In order to compensate in other areas though, we make sure to fill him up as much as we can on the fresh and delicious stuff like this.
I also love going to the farms and fruit fields because it produces some really amazing pictures! I love seeing the pictures in color that's for sure but it's also really cool to flip them into black and white. It makes for quite an interesting difference. I find it really interesting and fun to see how the pictures evolve over time, with it starting out as one thing and then ending up being something different as I refine my style in terms of black and white algorithms.
I've got a few configured algorithms, and I'm hoping that the people who are behind GIMP are able to add some more into the mix! I don't profess to know the technical nature behind it, but each of the configs I use provide a slightly different style picture which is really cool.

Looking good! I have been getting some killer apples lately. It's amazing how good stuff is when you are able to get it in season!
Oh for sure dude. There's nothing like truly in season and fresh food! It doesn't have to get picked a week or two before it ripens and you get the full flavor. Glad you got some fresh apples! We've got a big bag of them :D
Cool shots my friend. Looks tasty even in black and white. haha.
Thanks man, I love switching it up and going black and white. Presents some really interesting shading!

Fruits which are very special and beneficial for our health, we know their quality when the devotee plucks them from the tree and eats them.
Yeah it's great to get them fresh from the tree!
