Today I wanted to comment on the opportunity we have right now and maybe in the coming weeks for Hive!
Buying Discount Hive!
One thing that I and many others saw quite frequently over the past few months and even year or so while the price of Hive and things like Splinterlands had gone up drastically, were people lamenting the fact that they missed the opportunity to buy at a discount!
I recently have been putting my money where my mouth is, figuratively but also literally. I've been snagging up as much discounted Hive as I can! Granted I don't want to drain my HBD savings account again, I did that for a Splinterlands opportunity which will hopefully pay off in the long run. However though, I have been reducing by far the number of HBD I've been putting into savings so that I can snatch up as much liquid Hive as I can!
I think that this is a perfect opportunity and one that I tell as many people as I can during PUD and in other avenues. Many of us can remember seeing countless people being upset at the fact that the price of Hive was so expensive but they were getting into it at such highs that it was too expensive to do anything. Well guess what?! The price has come down a bit, as with most of the other crypto markets and right now is the perfect time to buy. It would be good to inject some Fiat dollars into it if you can but that isn't in the cards for everyone so we have to also understand that avenue of it.
Being able to stack some Hive, Splinterlands assets and some Bitcoin are all great ideas for now and the future. With the development on Hive on many different avenues of the core chain and the other things on the layer 2's, one of the main things that it comes down to is the ability to transact at the base layer. Adding in as much Hive Power as one can during these times will be important for improvements that will be made as time goes on with the blockchain. Being able to collateralize things like loans, delegating resource credits to RC pools for some rewards, being middlemen in transactions (forget the term, Edicted talks about it a lot!) for two separate parties and so many other things coming down the pike for the Hive ecosystem.
It all comes down to the fundamentals and we have great fundamentals from a tech side. One fundamental that many people take for granted and are missing out on is Hive! I know that I am doing some extra work now on that front so that I can enjoy some increased rewards down the line. Right now being able to get 4-5 Hive per day in curation rewards for having a decent stake in the platform has done wonders to boost my confidence in the ecosystem.
We are not without our issues that's for sure but one thing is for sure is that we can work through things and get to a better place together!

I reckon HIve is probably the best investment out there! Definitley going to buy some more soon. We only regret it when we don't and we KNOW the price WILL go up again!
That’s for sure! I might drop a little bit from other avenues into it, some shit coins I don’t care about and get some more hive. It’s going to be an important place in the future I think!
I am not touching my HBD savings, but I do buy Hive with all my HBD I receive for posting!! When the Hive price returns to normal, one can basically buy double the HBD with the same amount of Hive that we can do now.
(I note this morning early Hive and SPS was of the very few Coins that were in the green for the 24 hour and 7 day indicators)

Yeah I saw that hive was in the green that’s good lol. I don’t want to drain my HBD savings any more than it already is right now so I hear you on that! It’s good to swap out the HBD we have for hive and try to save some HBD as well. A good balance is important but it’s hard not to want to get discounted hive!

I did receive some Hive from conversion. It takes 3.5 days and I got approximately 2 Hives for 1 HBD. So I do think Hive at this price is worth buying !

If you are in the wallet page on PeakD or hive.blog and go to the “market” tab you don’t have to wait 3.5 days for conversion! I know it’s not going to be perfect on the amount of hive you get but that’s what we pay for when we get convenience. A lot easier to watch things grow doing that!
I've been reducing the ammount of HBD I place into savings and I'm converting it into Hive! This is a great opportunity to stack up my Hive Power for when the market goes back up again (hopefully!)
I would say balance is the key here! Even though I'm not an expert and I still have a LOT to learn on different opportunities to earn, my strategy has been balancing what I earn with the information I know have 😊

A good balance is important and I think it’s easier to have the balance now. The last time hive was this cheap I don’t think we had savings accounts where we could earn interest on HBD which is amazing. It was either sell for hive or hold it. Now we have the option to earn while holding as well as sell! I think this is great for many things for the future.
You're right, we know have more possibilities to manage and do our strategy. That's also a good thing, it means the chain itself is evolving 😊
It makes me wonder what more we could have in a few years time 😍
There is no better time to stack more hive than now, or maybe later if we dip further, which I don't think will happen.
I'll be investing into few NFT games on hive and use the earnings from there to buy more hp.

Yeah even if things dip a little further I’ll be buying all the way down that’s for sure!
The NFT games are a lot of fun, just be careful and don’t expect all kinds of profits. Profit is hard to come by lately but eventually it will pick back up.
I'll keep buying too if things dip further.
I'm focusing on Nft games here on Hive mainly spl & rising star, I'll be buying more fans in rising star as I sold my assets months ago due to an emergency, so I'm buying back now, which are now 50% cheaper.
The focus is building now. I can take profits when the time comes.
