Monsters Will Be Monsters

"C'mon Billy, you had the whole weekend to do this", complains Denise.
"Just a few moments, mom."
"What are you even drawing anyways, what is that?", Denise questions.
"It's Yuuk, the monster from my dreams", said Billy.
"Again? -- this is the third time this week", said Denise.
"I know mom. But Yuuk says if I draw him enough, he'd come to life", Billy replies.
"Why would you want to bring a monster to life? Isn't he dangerous?", asked Denise.
"Yuuk is a good monster, mom", Billy assures.
"Okay. But you have to stop drawing him, Billy. Draw something else" said Denise.

Billy had been drawing one monster over and again for weeks. He'd scribble away non-stop. That night she caught him trying to draw Yuuk again.
"Billy, what did I tell you? C'mon, no more Yuuk. It's time for bed".
"OK, mom", replied Billy.
She tucks him in and bids him goodnight. She decided to relax in the living room and get some TV time. As she watches on, she couldn't quite shake off the discomfort in Billy's new found favorite activity.
THUD! -- comes a sound from Billy's room. She immediately goes to investigate the source of the noise.

She opens the door to Billy's room and scans around. Billy is asleep and all seems in order. Slowly and quietly, she leaves the door a crack open and returned to the living room. After a few minutes of TV, she hears Billy's door creak loudly.
SLAM! -- goes the door.
"Billy, c'mon it's past bedtime. Billy -- Billy?
She proceeds to investigate again.

This time, something felt really odd. She walks up to his door and places her ear on it. Scribbling and gagging could be heard. She opens the door and finds Billy lying on his belly on the floor, drawing Yuuk. He was scribbling so hard, the paper was ruined.
"Are you kidding me right now? Billy!" she exclaims furiously.

She walks up to him and turns him over, Billy was having a seizure. His eyes rolled back in their sockets.
"Billy?! Oh my God! Billy -- Billy!?" she shakes him in an attempt to wake him up.
THUD!! -- a noise came from the corridor. She scoops Billy up from the floor and takes him into the closet and gently shuts its doors. Billy was still gagging from his seizure. She covers his mouth to muffle his gagging.

She hears footsteps making their way towards Billy's room. The footsteps were thick and heavy. She was shaking with absolute terror, struggling to stay as quiet as possible. A low rumbling grunt can be heard. Yuuk makes his way into Billy's room. His figure casts a terrifying shadow across the room.

Yuuk raised Billy's covers up and casts it aside. He lets out a low growl as if disappointed to not have found Billy under it. He turns towards the closet and slowly crawled towards it. Sniffing every now and again. He can smell them. Yuuk chuckles eerily. He scratches at the closet doors slowly with his long claws, gently clasping the handle.
BARK! BARK!! -- goes the dog, Rocky. Yuuk turns around to chase it.

"Mom. Why are we in the closet?", Billy wakes up confused.
"Shhh..honey", she replies as she opens the closet doors and quickly makes for the window. Billy grabs his notepad and pencil
"C'mon.. Let's go..C'mon" she lifts Billy through the window and out into the back yard.
"Run!", she exclaims as they both make their way to the car. She gets in quickly and takes out the key from the dashboard and starts the car.
"Seat belts on" she ordered Billy. As she drives out of the garage, Yuuk break into the garage through the walls with Rocky in his mouth.

They both screamed.
"Rocky!", Billy cried.
She drove as fast possible. Yuuk was chasing closely behind. Billy began to sketch as fast as he could.
"Are you serious? Right now, Billy? You put that down young man!!" she shouts at him angrily.
"But mom, I know how to stop him", Billy explains. He kept sketching. Yuuk bumps at the car from behind. Denise struggled to keep steady.

Yuuk hits takes a swipe at the wheels causing them to rupture. The car spins put of control. After a few tumbles, they themselves upside down near a tree. Yuuk rushed to the car and tried to pry open the doors, roaring hungrily. Denise was disoriented by the accident. She could not see clearly.

Just as Yuuk was about to grab her, a Pegasus swoops in from above and picks him up into the nighty sky taking a strand of her hair with him. In a few minutes, sirens from police cars filled the air. Before Billy and Denise were pulled out of the car and taken to the ambulance for immediate medical attention, she whispers to him, "no more drawing for you".
