Visiting Siboney Beach (eng-esp)

(Edited)

This post was both written in English and Spanish.

Siboney is a word that comes from the language of the aborigines who lived in Cuba during the Spanish occupation from the fifteenth century. Since that time there are several words that have remained as a legacy, and many are naming places like this.

For everyone who lives in Santiago de Cuba, Siboney Beach is one of the most popular, perhaps because it is the easiest to access for everyone. It takes a trip of about 15 minutes by car, although there are other means of transport that are dedicated to making this route on a daily basis.

The last time I visited this place was during my vacation. I went there with a group of friends, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Needless to say, I was bathing for a long time, because that day the waves had just the right strength to cheer you up with every coming and going. Also, the sun wasn't hitting that hard that day, so it felt like a gentle kiss on the skin (although I almost ended up with sunstroke from taking too much 😂).

The photos could not be missing. And something I also enjoyed was collecting crystals on the shore. It turns out that there is an entrepreneurship in the city that creates very sophisticated accessories with these crystals and wire drawing techniques, so every time I can I try to collaborate.

Siboney Beach is one of the best proposals that there are in the territory, so whenever I can, I will come back. I hope you liked this post and it has awakened your curiosity about the beaches in Cuba. Until next time!
