Tea, sweets and music theory 🎵🍵(eng-eng).
Normally after a day of rehearsals my routine would be to go for coffee. In fact, that happened during the morning today. However, I also had rehearsals in the afternoon, and this was where the routine changed a little.
It happens that by tomorrow I will be singing for the first time in a concert together with a professional choir. The demand is very high and I'm not going to disappoint, that's why I've been trying very hard. I am lucky to have excellent colleagues who like to teach me and help me.
Today afternoon, after studying several works that are part of tomorrow's repertoire, my leader on the bass string gave me this delight that I am now sharing with you.
Nothing more and nothing less than chamomile tea. "It's great for the nerves," he told me, and I thanked him very much for the gesture. He also offered me a piece of toasted yolk nougat, and the combination with the infusion was a complete delight.
All this made me think that although I have cultivated the habit of drinking coffee, I should also resume the habit of drinking tea frequently, which I had learned in my childhood but for very different reasons I stopped doing. So now it's double the thanks to my partner.
Do you usually drink more tea than coffee? I would love to know, so do not hesitate to leave your comment. We will read each other on some future occasion. Until next time!
