El Ordeño. Mi momento mágico ❤️ [Esp/Eng]

Una de las actividades que me apasiona realizar y forma parte de mi día a día es el ordeño, y desde el año 2014 debido a la grave crisis de mi país (Venezuela) los productos de primera necesidad, entre ellos la leche, eran escasos o nulos, de allí nació la idea de obtener cabras como alternativa nutricional para nuestra familia.

Mi esposo y yo como personal de salud que somos (médico- enfermera), conscientes de que la nutrición es la base fundamental para el bienestar, elegimos las cabras por los múltiples beneficios que tiene su leche, entre ellos, la baja cantidad de grasa, el alto contenido proteíco y la digestibilidad. Enamorados de la crianza y las bondades de los productos, decidimos mantener y aumentar la cría con el objetivo de poder transmitir a otras personas el estilo de vida Green living.

One of the activities that I am passionate about and is part of my daily life is milking, and since 2014 due to the severe crisis in my country (Venezuela) the basic necessities, including milk, were scarce or nonexistent, hence the idea of getting goats as a nutritional alternative for our family was born.

My husband and I as health personnel that we are (doctor-nurse), aware that nutrition is the fundamental basis for well-being, we chose goats for the many benefits of their milk, including low fat, high protein content and digestibility. In love with the breeding and the goodness of the products, we decided to maintain and increase the breeding in order to be able to transmit the Green living lifestyle to others.

Ahora bien, les cuento, la faena del ordeño se ha convertido en una actividad de disfrute y participación familiar. Los niños se han involucrado de una manera increíble, ha fomentado el trabajo en equipo en nuestra familia, el respeto y el agradecimiento por estos simpáticos seres. Cada mañana bien temprano, antes de las 7 de la mañana, se inicia la jornada; les juro que no es para nada difícil.

Para el ordeño primero se trasladan de su puesto hacia la mesa de ordeño, es demasiado bello ver lo obedientes que son. Cada una ya sabe en qué momento debe pasar, mantienen el orden y respetan el paso de su compañera (es genial ver eso). Luego se realiza la limpieza de las mamas y se da inicia al ordeño. Ami me gusta cantarles, pues según dicen los abuelos" si están felices producen más leche". No sé si es cierto, pero se siente bien hacerlo ☺️.

Now, I tell you, the milking task has become an activity of enjoyment and family participation. The children have become involved in an incredible way, it has fostered teamwork in our family, respect and gratitude for these nice beings. Every morning very early, before 7 a.m., the day begins; I swear it is not difficult at all.

For milking they first move from their stall to the milking table, it is too beautiful to see how obedient they are. Each one already knows at what moment she has to pass, they keep order and respect their partner's pace (it's great to see that). Then the cleaning of the breasts is done and the milking begins. I like to sing to them, because the grandparents say "if they are happy they produce more milk". I don't know if it's true, but it feels good to do it ☺️.

Al finalizar el ordeño, se realiza el sellado de los pezones con un antiséptico, luego la leche se traslada para la filtración / pasteurización y listo para disfrutar. A los niños les encanta tomar leche todas las mañanas, y a mí me tienen enamorada estos mágicos animalitos. El momento del ordeño se ha convertido en mi momento favorito del día, lleno de paz, calma, conexión con la naturaleza, unión familiar, y la satisfacción de poder llevar salud a muchos hogares a través de nuestros productos.

At the end of milking, the teats are sealed with an antiseptic, then the milk is transferred for filtration/pasteurization and ready to enjoy. Children love to drink milk every morning, and I am in love with these magical little animals. The milking moment has become my favorite time of the day, full of peace, calm, connection with nature, family togetherness, and the satisfaction of being able to bring health to many homes through our products.
