When we took our youngest to the beach the first time, she cried the whole time. She hated the sand, so I had to move her to a chair just to stop her crying. Eventually I took her back to the car and my husband stayed with the other three. We didn't stay long that day. My husband took the older children back another day.
He won't stay that little, no matter how much you say, "Please." It was a blink of the eye and my children were grown.
This is so true. It felt like he was just a newborn a while ago :(

Yikes. I hope she likes going to the beach too.
The problem, as far as we can tell, is that she didn't like the feeling of it not being stable. The sand moved.
Now that she's 21, it isn't an issue anymore.
