Whenever I run into electronic product issues, it's always a hassle. Besides the inconvenience of finding someone to repair them, it's time-consuming, and it definitely takes a toll on my wallet. Last year, our trusty air conditioner, which had served us for several years, decided to call it quits. We called in an expert for repairs, and to our disappointment, the expert said it couldn't be fixed, and we had no choice but to purchase a new one. It was a significant expense, but without air conditioning in the summer, it's impossible to get anything done, so we had to bite the bullet and get a new unit.


Furthermore, a few years ago, our TV also went on the fritz. At that time, I pondered whether I even needed to buy a new TV because I rarely watched traditional TV channels. I spent most of my time watching shows on Netflix online. However, the older members of my family strongly insisted on getting a TV so they could watch their beloved traditional programs. So, we ended up buying a 55-inch TV to accommodate their preferences.

Now, switching gears to blockchain games. In the realm of blockchain gaming, there's a constant influx of new projects. When I first joined Hive, Splinterlands was among the top three blockchain gaming projects, boasting a large player base. However, over the past few years, numerous other blockchain games have been launched. There's Gods Unchained, a card game similar to Splinterlands, Illuvium, an open-world exploration RPG, and Swords of Blood, a high-quality AAA-grade RPG. Nowadays, there's an abundance of blockchain games out there.

While I got introduced to the Hive environment through Splinterlands and enjoy playing Hive Games, for a game to thrive, it needs to reach a broader audience beyond Hive. Without new players, the game will stagnate and gradually decline, much like a stagnant pond.
