Gold III Unlocking Reward Cards at 10/31

Hi friends,

I honestly didn’t expect it – I just recently reached Silver I, and now I’ve managed to move up to Gold III pretty smoothly. But this is definitely my limit; I’d need to rent stronger cards and have enough ENERGY to keep pushing further. Honestly, after just a few dozen matches, I get pretty exhausted. I have a habit of watching each match closely, so from the time I start matchmaking and calculating the opponent's power, each game can take around five minutes. This makes it feel like a big time drain.

Crypto can be promising – just look at how Bitcoin is approaching new highs; it’s exciting. But GameFi isn’t necessarily great, and Splinterlands, in particular, is an older game. People naturally chase after new things and leave the old behind. GameFi’s spirit is “Play to Earn.” Since I started playing Splinterlands, I’ve noticed I’ve only been investing time and money without really earning much, if anything. If I sold my assets in the game, like $SPS or cards, I might get some money back, but I’d still be in the negative. This is why I don’t believe many players will keep investing in the upcoming Conclave Arcana Set.

My guess is that when CHAOS LEGION Set moves to WILD MODE, the player base will drop significantly. We’ve seen similar things with other games like Genesis League Goals – it seems only a handful of players are interested, mostly Splinterlands veterans. Clever players can definitely make money from Splinterlands, but there are countless GameFi titles where it’s nearly impossible to make any money, or the cash-out requirements are ridiculously high. At least Splinterlands still operates pretty transparently and fairly.
