What smells so delicious?

Definitely the smell of coffee is what makes me wake up in the morning with a smile on my face. It's what tells me that I'm going to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee for a snack.

The aroma of coffee in the aisles of the mall takes me straight, almost magically to buy a delicious one to get my rhythm going.

The taste is special...

Nothing compares to the taste of a delicious coffee. No matter how it's presented, I wouldn't trade the taste of coffee for anything else. I simply love it!

There is nothing better than the smell of freshly brewed coffee, it is so intense that it intoxicates the senses. Not to mention the taste, it is a true nutritional pleasure.

I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.☕untitled.gif

I can understand your perspective, considering I have had a couple of copies where the test was top notch while the aroma didn't do justice to the cup as much. It's very rare to get coffees that are just perfect? The reason I say this is because everyone has their own perspective on how they want their coffee, black or with milk or sugar, or even whether it is a very fruity rich coffee or just something that has a slight bitter caramel taste to it. 💯☕️

I wouldn't trade the taste of coffee for anything else.

Hmm, thats a strong claim. I deduce everything is great in your life then. Cause, huh, there are so many good things exist in this world that, personally, I would trade for coffee xD

Have !PIZZA and a great day 🙏

According to the topic of today's conversation, the smell of coffee is what prevents us from waking up with enthusiasm for the routine of that day, our day, @chacald.dcymt .

Waking up and perceiving that delicious aroma of coffee is a blessing!

I think it's great that the smell is special, because imagine a delicious coffee with a bad smell? hehehehehej

The best thing there is to wake up is to do it with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, to then enjoy its flavor, nothing comparable ☕.

Waking up at dawn while the aroma of coffee drifts through the door of the room is a dream. You open your eyes, smell, and make sure it's not a dream. You must get up and grab a cup!

Hello. Greetings to everyone in this round of conversations.
They have given us a difficult choice.🤓🧐🤔
I am more attracted to the smell, because I can perceive it from a distance and imagine that matte bitter taste when it reaches my mouth.
The smell does not bind you to the immediate flavor... the smell transports🪽🪽 you. .. to the world of coffee ☕

That's why I love its smell...you walk down the street, you close the doors and inhale...and you say...they're making coffee, it smells like coffee.☕✌️🙂💯

Readers have a series of rights, such as rejecting books or leaving them unfinished if they choose, @qwerrie ; I think that the same thing happens with those who declare themselves coffee fans...leaving a cup of coffee halfway, choosing brands, ways to make it, where to drink it...

Sure thing! of course they can do. There are picky readers, occasional readers, readers-preofessional masochists (that have to read various stuff not for the likes, but due to make reviews). Etc etc etc. 🙃

The truth is that there is a sense that they need encouragement in situ and others do not. Therefore, in this case, the sense of smell does not need to be nearby; It is similar to music in the ear

The more I read about travelling down the street and inhaling the smell of freshly roasted coffee, I remember travelling down the MG Road in Chikmagalur that is filled with at least 2 to 3 coffee roasters who would roast at different times in the day and attract a ton of customers even before the coffee is just ready. This place not only has coffee farms, stretching to acres and acres but also coffee shops with roasting machine from Germany and other countries and they don't even have to fight for customers because the smell very much invites them.✨☕️😌

Here in the state of Sucre, Venezuela, there are small towns that decide on the coffee trade... equally, as soon as you approach, the smell of coffee invades you. You also watch the berries dry in the sun. It's all an experience, @coffeenlove

I have heard Venezuela’s coffee has a lot of acidity and balanced flavour. Though I haven’t tried it yet, would definitely get a packet very soon.😁 Does it rain there during the drying time? I see we are effected by the climate change now-a-day's.

I don't know much about technical flavors for coffee...Venezuelan coffee is balanced...and very aromatic.
If rains.
We feel climate change...periods of great drought and heat...
And now it's raining almost all of them. With emergencies in some areas

I also prefer the smell, it's just as you say, from the moment you start to smell the coffee, your sense of smell prepares you for what it will be like to taste a cup of coffee. The aroma of coffee is one of the best things, especially if it is in the morning.

My answer to this topic of conversation this week, would be both, you will say that because I did not answer only one, because simply no.

IMG_20240707_140856_1.jpg

Because of the smell , my sense of smell is intoxicated by the irresistible smell of coffee in each of its Morning and evening preparations.

IMG_20240707_140858_1.jpg

As for the taste, my taste buds get excited every time they have a good sip in my mouth, they play with it, ecstatic with the good semi bitter taste of a rich and exquisite coffee.

I respect their opinions 🤗😘☕.

You are absolutely right @coffeenlove, We always want more, when the aroma is exquisite of a good coffee, when the aroma is unpleasant, you automatically reject the drink, even if it is, a drink that has a pleasant smell and its taste is not, it has happened to me and it is the worst, you are disappointed.

I often think the aroma compliments the taste of the coffee but I have had coffee where the aroma has overpowered the coffee in itself, and some coffees where is not as much aroma when compared to other cups, but the brew just exceeds the level of complexity. The flavours hit the taste buds and kind of makes you want to dance and enjoy and savour it for a few more minutes. If you have heard of the term 'aftertaste'it pretty much means that the flavour lingers in your tongue, maybe for a few seconds or a few minutes that says a lot about a coffee and it can be scored much higher when compared to other coffees. ❤️‍🔥🤤

Your experience with coffee, as I understand it, is tradition and family work. Every time I read your comments I add something new and different to my references about coffee.
For example, the coffee I drink at this moment leaves its flavor for hours, as well as its aroma in my memory, @coffeenlove

I remember being a newbie, a few years ago and I had to pick the teeny tiny knowledge up to show our customers why our coffee is Unique, Fancy and Fun. The only way to get them to understand that was to interest them in new things indulging them into a newer world of exploration. There’s no right and wrong. There is only new thoughts and experiences. 🍐✨

There is no good or evil. There are only new thoughts and experiences. 🍐✨

@sandracabrera All my contributions are life experience with our caffeinated beverage, it usually happens to me too, there are coffees that abandon their aroma after a few hours of brewing, so now I drink cups of strong black coffee, I make small amounts, and if my husband needs an extra dose, I prepare it again.

@coffeenlove You are absolutely right, some time ago I bought a coffee, which had tones of chocolate and other flavors, the truth is that when I brewed it, I could not taste it, the disgusting taste it had, it only caused me unpleasant sensations, in the end my husband was the one who tasted it.

There are times when they give me coffee and make me remember stages of my childhood, the aroma and coffee of those times, which are not the same as now.
For that reason, I discard coffee brands and continue trying new ones, until I find the ideal one.

I completely understand! It's so disappointing when a coffee with promising flavors turns out to be undrinkable. The nostalgic connection to the coffee aromas from our childhood can be so strong, but finding that perfect blend nowadays seems like a fun quest. ☕️🍫

Aroma and taste experience is always different from my opinion. It has the same vibe, but you can find various layers… in the nose sometimes you catch some forest fruit vibes, while in your mouth it becomes more dark chocolate vibe. It’s important to feel the coffee with all of your senses!

From that point of view, you are absolutely right, it recently happened to me with a coffee I bought, it smelled too rich in the bag, but when I brewed it, the sensation was not pleasant.

The smell of coffee, when good, is irresistible to us coffee lovers. When the taste and texture are to our liking, this can make us go for a second cup; so I understand your point and agree. Sometimes, when my coffee tastes so good, I have to brew some more even when I'm not close enought to the kitchen as to smell it as it's brewing.

Yeah, the smell and taste of coffee appeal to me. I am someone who doesnt who can take or drink coffees that have no milk or sugar in them. When a coffee tastes nice ,then I can drink it all. The smell is also another big deal for me if the smell of coffees is not appealing enough or if the smell is bad I will definitely not be taking that coffee. The smell draws me closer to the coffee and make me have appetite for drinking it.

Recently, I had the opportunity to produce five lots of coffee, alongside two additional lots from another planter from Sakleshpur. Among these, one of my coffees, known as “KOJI’S” was a Koji infused fermented coffee cherries. 🍒

Its aroma was unparalleled, and the taste was truly an exceptional one. The best coffees we have worked on this year. The aroma was remarkably complex, featuring fruity notes such as pear.🍐 The taste profile included pear, lemon, muskmelon and peach. Despite its complexity, every one of my customers loved the aroma, which enhanced their overall experience and complemented the exquisite taste.

I was equally thrilled with such a special offering from our coffee estate. I definitely have plans to continue experimenting with similar fermentation is for the next year. ☕️✨

So.. even tho the taste was so GOOD, I’d say the aroma was the cherry on top 😉
Ps. So did the customers. Haha

Wow, you must have a lot of experience with coffee...it must be incredible to be able to have that whole process close to you, know it and make innovations. I have never had a coffee that has fruits...it must be an incredible experience.

We have a Chikoo ferments coffee last year. Infused with sapoyas grown by my grandmother. 👵🏼 but the fruits are just flavours that's the outcome of fermentation of the coffee cherries.

How fantastic. Family history. That whole process seems very ecological to me, starting from the people who get involved in the process.

I am so envious that you grow your own coffee and it is actually Specialty coffee. Fermented one is really my favorite, because the fermentation gives the bean really exquisite aroma and taste. It can bring you in another worlds and reveal you a lot of beautiful feelings!

Oh yes! I'm so thrilled my family got into this ages ago. I don't think I could do this today that easily. Considering the cost of everything rising up. 😂 Where are you from? What's your favourite coffee? Did you get it from a said roaster or cafe ☕️

I’m from Bulgaria. I buy always different coffee roasted from all around the world. This morning I opened a bag of beans that was produced in Costa Rica and roasted in South Korea. I really love Natural and fermented Anaerobic/Aerobic/Thermal coffee varieties.

Definitely Fruit flavor coffees are my absolute favorite… I don’t loke more typical chocolate or toffee like coffee. Also, the coffee I buy has to be Light or Medium-Ligjt roasted!

That’s fantastic. I have made a frozen cherry patch this year, which was a natural anaerobic fermented coffee.😬😲

It is fascinating, all this experience that you tell us, as a lover of good coffee, I would like to live your experience, and to create in the future a coffee with personal brand, to be taken by myself and no one else, I want to create the perfect combination for it, although it calls my attention of fermented coffee, here in Venezuela, I have not had the joy of trying it, but hope is the last thing to give up, so I still have a chance 😁.

Oh I hope you do get a chance to explore coffee much more thoroughly than you already have. If not at least you should giving a few coffee farms. That would give you ample opportunity to enjoy and explore. ☕️✨

Our nose knows 😁

Definitely, smell is a portentous sense. Aromas can take us directly to a memory we had long forgotten. I want to remember the taste and aroma of coffee forever. I'd definitely love the aroma of this coffee you describe; I love fruity notesin my coffee; they are my favorite ❤️

Wow, it is a difficult question… I think that you have to enjoy your coffee with all your senses.

First, when you look at your beautifully roasted beans you know that it will be a tasty morning.

Secondly… when you hear the sound of cracking the beans in your manual grinder tells you that your coffee will be here shortly.

Then, you open the grinder and the aroma of freshly ground coffee hits you. It is always an amazing experience.

When the coffee is brewed, the aroma shifts a little bit, adding even more complexity of your tasty cup.

When the liquid touches your mouth, you understand how tasty your coffee is. And the taste is always different from the notes that you managed to catch with your nose. It is amazing how complex can a cup of coffee be! And you can really feel different vibes in the aroma and in the taste.

Finally, you hold the warm cup and it touches your soul.

That’s why I love both the taste and smell. They are like different lines of a beautiful poem! They carry the overall character, but have different meanings.

A very good answer, to prepare coffee we see that all the senses participate in unison to create something wonderful. Without a doubt is poetry what is done.

I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.☕

you open the grinder and the aroma of freshly ground coffee invades you. It is always an incredible experience.

I would like to have this experience of being able to grind my own coffee beans, as you describe it, it is a fascinating experience.

Many times it is like that, the smell that you perceive from the coffee, is not at all like the taste of the coffee that you just perceived, the magic changes.

I agree with you, they are two different verses that complement a good poem for coffee lovers like us 😁☕☕☕

When I bought my manual hand grinder, it was a game changer for me! I had the ability to make my own grind size adjustments! And of course, the coffee was tasting much fresher!

This is what I was thinking, the experience is largely sensory. In general, aroma wins out, but this theory has its kinks.

Every sense is important, but maybe aroma is crucial here. It is the thing that leads you closer to your cup and makes you want a sip!

Definitely the aroma of coffee awakens in me feeling of delicious pleasure that makes my taste buds (which are directly related to the sense of smell) begin to work, and lead me immediately to taste that precious liquid.

That's why I say that both are very important and delicious, they cannot be separated!

I love this kind of interaction with you coffee friends! Have a great day everyone.🙌☕️☕️

The coffee is appreciated first by the aroma, the important thing is that it leads us to taste it with the best possible attitude, both are complements of coffee aroma + flavor = coffee.

When we are equally pleased with the aroma and taste, it's great and even more so when we can sip it in a cup as nice as this one ❤️

Without thinking about it, I affirm that I like the smell the most, not only because it is the first thing I perceive even before sitting down to savor my cup, but also because it brings back memories of different moments of my life, especially when I was a child, which are the ones I like to think about the most.
Coffee has an unmistakable and warm aroma that awakens sensations and senses.

If how it smells it tastes.......😁😊🥴

Definitely the smell plays a very important role, it's the one that awakens the senses, if something smells bad, that doesn't even provoke to try it! 😁 No matter how tasty it is; on the other hand, if it smells good, we already want to try it 😊

Excellent Sunday of conversation coffee lovers.

For me, the smell is what I like most about coffee, especially when it is freshly brewed. No other food has such a characteristic aroma that is capable of modifying our behavior to such an extreme that we perform the action of drinking the dark deliciousness. The aroma invites for the flavor to complement the exquisite experience that fills our body with such wonderful sensations.

I hope to continue reading you with your comments on what you like more, smell or taste.

Excellent start of the week to all coffee lovers.☕

I feel similarly about the experience of drinking my coffee. After the aroma, everything else complements it. If the aroma is not good, I will probably not be tempted to drink the coffee, even if I have it in sight.

Hey, coffee friends!

I hope you're having an excellent Monday 😄☕️

image.png

Three quarters of our taste experience is due to our sense of smell, so definitely, the aroma of coffee is what appeals to me the most. But this is a pragmatic answer.

Let me see, the aroma of coffee and the taste of coffee don't always go hand in hand. When I go walking through the public market of my town, the smell of freshly ground coffee is one of the most pleasant experiences, but I no longer make the mistake of buying it because many times it's much more roasted than I like, which is noticeable in the color and in the more aggressive flavor instead of round and gentle to the palate.

When aroma and taste go together, on the other hand, that's a good thing that I try to take advantage of as much as possible; so to increase the probabilities of success, in addition to my smell and taste, I add my sight. I look for the aroma I love to go hand in hand with a light brown tone, usually of a medium roast, the beans that best fit my budget; thus, I ensure the most enjoyable sensory experience possible.

Obviously, I never buy beans whose aroma is weak or burnt.

My coffee always accompanies me in my daily activities; one of the reasons why I drink it slowly may have to do with my unconscious impulse to lengthen the olfactory experience.
