To go please...

A few days ago I was at the mall making some payments for home services. I finished early and went straight to my shop to work on a beautiful coffee mug that I want to give to my daughter's teacher for the end of the school year. So I made a quick stop at my favorite coffee shop and ordered the usual: a Mocha with double chocolate on the bottom and no sugar. I enjoyed it infinitely

IMG_20240611_190947~2.jpg

When I see the coffee sign, I can't help but stop, even if I don't have time to sit down and enjoy it, I just order it to go.

It's good that you can order it and take it, @chacald.dcymt
I really prefer to take it, if I have time...
I don't like to drink coffee in a hurry..

That's why I ordered it to go. These glasses keep the heat in. My house is 15 minutes from the mall and the chichos wrapped my cup in paper and then with a cardboard fastener. By the time I got into the shop and got to work the coffee was just the way I like it.

You can't live without coffee. I think we go through a lot that we have to have our daily dose of caffeine no matter the place or the time. I hope we can see the finished mug that you make to give as a gift.

I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.☕untitled.gif

The few times I have ordered coffee to go is when I didn't have a coffee maker at the office and I couldn't stay there to drink it, I was exhausted and needed a coffee, so I went to a nearby coffee shop and ordered one to go, but it is uncomfortable to carry it without spilling or burning yourself, since there was no special container to carry coffee.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Then instead of enjoying the coffee, you are watching to make sure it doesn't spill.

We used to ask the barista to have our coffee in takeaway cups, but we still drink it inside the coffee shop. XD

You're right, seeing the coffee sign makes us stop and have one, but we can't always do it, it's a good option to order takeaway and enjoy it on the way.

It's good to have options for days like this one. Sometimes you don't want to miss that special coffee you're savoring already in your mind. It's just nice!

Hello, friend of the coffee community.

Definitely. No. I wouldn't order a coffee to take home.
I drink the coffee and enjoy it in the cafeteria. At home the coffee is homemade.
If I'm not going to have time to drink coffee, I simply don't order it.

Here enjoying a coffee at work, I have a coffee maker and I do it in the office.

It's nice to enjoy a good coffee at the moment, my friend. But with this racing weather and time running short, we don't always have the luxury of sitting in the coffee shop enjoying coffee. I think we can give to-go cups a try. The lids have the ability to keep the heat and flavor concentrated for much longer. And enjoy the coffee while we walk or arrive at our destination.

Enjoying a freshly brewed coffee and enjoying it at the same moment is wonderful. What you say is true, if we don't have time to take it it is better not to take it.

I leave you a cup of coffee for this Saturday.☕

Hello. Coffee is one of the pleasures that I do not allow to be lost. This blessed life sometimes seeks to surpass you...and little by little let it move you towards its rush...
The moments with my coffee, not the business.
Thank you, in these conversations I always wait for your coffee, I like it.
Greetings, it is always good to see each other here,@rinconpoetico7.

I think everyone is free to have their own preferences. That's the interesting thing about these conversations. To realize that around coffee there are rituals, as particular as each person.
That is what is interesting about these exchanges. To realize that in the world there are things we don't know. When I see that @beauty197 says that in Somalia there is no coffee shop, that impresses me and I would like to know more.
In Hive we almost don't comment on publications, maybe these spaces will educate us to implement that exercise as part of what we do here.
Personally I am curious about the world. Sometimes we can not travel for various circumstances and here we learn about what exists beyond our borders.
It's not about being right or wrong, it's about communing with the differences. Besides having a good time, laughing, impressing, commenting and being informed.
Social activity is a part of this acosystem, although sometimes we don't take it seriously.
@beauty197 , yes, I think very much like you.
People who enjoy their coffee by calling it, also have a good time. One of these days I'm going to order coffee to go and maybe I'll write a post recounting the experience.

That's right my friend @sandracabrera, our ritual is unique, in each region, there is one in particular, here for example my morning ritual is with artisan technique, the typical cloth strainer, boiling water and then the colada, for me it is one of the most wonderful, respecting each particular tradition, that is the cultural diversity of each region or country.

There is so much cultural diversity in each country, not all of them have coffee shops, I imagine that they are not necessary or simply it is not a business there, or the circumstances are different.

It is always good to try different things, live the experience and if you like it, share it, so we all learn from each other.
There was once, that my dear @tonyes, who published a coffee, which incorporated butter, it seemed very strange to me, but I wanted to try what it felt like, as the aforementioned spoke very well of it, as well as the friend @omarcitorojas or my dear @omarrojas, I do not remember exactly who of the two, but the truth is that they published a coffee with lemon, it seemed to me also out of the ordinary, but I tried and loved it, I think it is always good to have our experience of things and daily experiences, above all, as long as you want to try it, I will wait for that visit to the coffee shop and your coffee to go, strong hug my dear @sandracabrera 🤗☕☕☕☕☕

I understand you perfectly. When I improvised my studio in the only empty room in this house, I thought I would be missing the coffee maker next to the bookshelves, but of course having another "coffee station" in the house was a crazy idea.

I think homemade coffee is special because it involves a ritual that starts from the moment you offer the coffee to others or to yourself, while you brew it, until you serve it. The aroma of coffee while brewing is a magical air freshener.

Would you order a coffee to take home?

Definitely not, I think the coffee would lose its charm when it gets cold, unless I took it in a thermal cup. Usually when I buy coffee away from home I drink it all at once on the spot.

The only way I would take coffee home is if I had no gas, no electricity, no coffee to brew, and no money to buy coffee powder. That would be a pathetic situation I don't even want to imagine. 😃

In the meantime I offer you this delicious coffee made with love.

Of course, if you don’t have the means and the brewing gadgets for coffee you will have to takeaway coffee for home, but then it is maybe better to enjoy it at the cafeteria while it’s still warm!

It's been a rainy day in my town, and, nothing better than a coffee ☕ at this time! But today, I decided for a very hot coffee with milk ☕!

The coffee ☕ is taken at the moment, if you make it 🏡, there you take it, if you go to a coffee shop, there you take it, you don't order it to go, I don't like a cold coffee at all, it loses its essence 🤷, to order is the pizza 🍕 hahaha.

Ordering a coffee to go and having it go cold for one reason and another would be very disappointing. These are the risks that come with ordering a takeaway coffee.

Latte for a rainy day... Approved! I also like sipping a hot guayoyo while watching the rain fall. It's a relaxing experience, and it also reminds of younger days!

What you say about the temperature of the coffee is something we should consider seriously. I'm always worried about the materials they use for the disposable cups the use for takeaway food and drinks, and lore when these are steaming hot.

I cannot fail to point out that one should never use plastic to pour boiling water because of the carcinogenic substances that are released and then consumed. But I digress. Hello my lovers of rich coffee-based beverages, I hope your day is going well, answering the theme of this week's conversation, I would say the answer is yes and no. I am sure you are wondering how that is?

Well, here is my answer:

It depends on the situation I am in, since every day is not the same and believe it or not, many times things happen, that make you opt for what you thought, you could not do sometime, in short, I would say:

IMG_20240628_162129.jpg

Yes, I would order a coffee to take home, if due to life situations, I don't have it there, or I can't enjoy it in said coffee shop or I'm lack of caffeine, but I confess you that it won't hold until I get home, I think on the way I drink it😅, smell of freshly brewed and hot coffee, you can't waste it.

lv_0_20240622215623.gif

No, I would take coffee home, if I have enough time to drink it in the cafeteria and less if I have coffee in my cupboards, I love to smell the freshly brewed coffee and more to taste it very hot, I almost burn my hands, to take the cup, I like the steam in my nose, when I inhaled its aroma.

IMG_20240613_082354.jpg

You know what I really like, is to prepare coffee to go and go to my favorite hideaway, to drink freshly brewed coffee at home. A coffee taken at the seashore, is too comforting.

That's very nice, enjoying a delicious coffee in the secret place, that would be the peak of the connection between the coffee and us. A secret place with a cup of coffee, a unique experience.

Hello, @neilamarcano
Your answer is very complete.
I think so, it depends on the circumstances. Likewise, if they tell me, I won't take it home.
Nice photos.
Greetings and happy weekend

It is better to enjoy it in the place where it is made, it is more pleasant, but if the options are not given, I chose to take it on the road and enjoy a walk with my coffee

0

If you have some time it’s definitely better to enjoy your coffee somewhere in a different environment, so the coffee shop seems like an excellent option.

You are absolutely right, a good coffee in the cafeteria and with company are the best options to enjoy the pleasures of life

0

...but I confess you that it won't hold until I get home...

You've got a point 👌🏻🤭

I guess one usually orders takeaway when one's busy, in a hurry, and not too far from home. But coffee is sometimes impossible to resist 😌❤️

That's right my friend, coffee is irresistible and even more so for inveterate coffee lovers ☕☕☕

Why order a takeaway coffee for home when I have some really good coffee brewing gadgets at home? I’d better enjoy coffee outside of home at a cozy place, or in my favorite coffee shop in the company of my friends and the barista.

So… this will never happen! One other drawback is that by the way I go home it will be cold already… or if it is a cold coffee it would become warm.

The coffee lab is at home!

I love your coffee lab. Love it. Love it. Love it.

When the coffee shop is great, it's better to stay there and enjoy your coffee without extra wait.

Excellent Sunday of conversation coffee lovers.

We come with a new participation in the weekly conversation. Today we are asked if we order coffee to go.

Before answering, I leave you with a few verses.

Don't give me coffee shipped,
I prefer a well-drunk coffee
at the old wooden table
of my house that raised me.

I can say that I have never ordered a coffee to go, I always take it instantly, to enjoy its flavor and aroma freshly made.

I work from home so I don't go out much and the times I do it's to get some fresh air, so I don't need to order coffee to go, because I always have the delicious coffee at home, 7 days a week.🏠

I hope you liked the poem, I wish you a very comforting rest and an excellent new week and that the power of caffeine accompanies you always.☕

If you work from home, that means that to order coffee to go, you would have to leave home and then come back. It doesn't make any sense 😄 Sometimes I work from home; on those days, home-brewed coffee is the best for me, too. The homey feel is very relaxing when you're working. Horacia helps me a lot with that. I have 3 cats and 2 guest cats, but Horacia is the one always by my side.

The truth is that I have never ordered a coffee to take home. I have ordered coffees to drink it in a square or in an open place that at that moment provokes me to enjoy the outdoors.

Whenever I buy a prepared coffee I always have the idea that it is a special moment, that it has just been made, that it has its aroma and flavor intact, and that it is a time that I have taken to pause and breathe a different air.

I enjoy my home and the coffee that I prepare for myself there, they are definitely two different enjoyments and each one has its place.

You are right it is special...

Coffee anecdotes: I remember one time I was with the clock hands pricking my back 😅 ... I had to pick up some groceries and already my transport was waiting for me. So I stopped, ordered a coffee to go and ran to the store for my boxes. As I entered the store the clerks were telling me a delicious coffee aroma filled the space. I felt sorry for them as I enjoyed my hot coffee (which was for home but didn't even make it to the mall exit 🤭) ....

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date!

Hey, coffee friends!

image.png

Many times, when my sisters or some good friends of mine come to visit me, I wish I could offer them coffee a la carte without having to leave them to prepare it. A coffee with the quality and art of my favorite barista in the comfort of home, my cats around, no strangers to listen to our conversation, no rush, no shoes, no bra 😁? Of course I'd love it! Sign me up.

If the coffee is good and my pocket doesn't suffer too much, hehe, I could get used to it Ideally, it'd be home delivery but takeaway would work as well.

I love espresso from the coffee shop; I find it a nice way to pamper myself and my guests that is totally affordable. For me, economy is very important when it comes to non-essentials, as I work hard to earn every cent; this is one of the most important reasons why my coffee will be homemade if I'm home with or without guests.
