Hello Coffee Lovers and ALL Hiveans!

Cinnamon Cup Coffee, with the sponsorship of @OCD, is hosting a Coffee Contest in celebration of International Coffee Day 2023.

Coffee plays a vital role in the daily lives of many, and every year, 1st October, International Coffee Day, is the day when coffee gets the focus it deserves.

Today, there will be celebrations around the world that highlight and demonstrate coffee traditions and usages. Many will explore the history of coffee and there might be an emphasis on coffee being a leading commodity and some of the day-to-day challenges and adversities of coffee farmers.
Through this community, we've read endless stories about coffee; From large coffee farms and traders to personal stories about private coffee farms in the author's backyards. Different methods of preparation and consumption and the celebration of coffee traditions have been passed down to different generations.
So, in light of this, Cinnamon Cup Coffee is hosting this contest, which is OPEN NOW and runs till Thursday 5th October at noon UTC.19:30 UTC.

Enjoying coffee with a loved one, or alone in contemplation, can both be a doorway to some deep life insights. To celebrate International Coffee Day, we’d love to hear about a deep connection, moment of change, or self-discovery that you had while drinking coffee.

This contest is open to EVERYONE on the Hive Blockchain, who loves coffee and is desirous to express their love for coffee.

Why Should I Enter?

  • You will get the chance to profess your love for coffee.
  • You will get exposure and increase your chances of getting new followers.
  • Your post might be eligible for curation as Cinnamon Cup Coffee is part of the OCD Incubation program, however, please note that conditions apply.
  • You will get the chance to showcase your coffee photographs and get your creative juices flowing to give an outstanding response to this prompt.

There's a grand prize pool of 70 HIVE in prizes that will be distributed amongst 7 finalists and winners.

How do I qualify for entry, and what are the guidelines that I MUST adhere to?

  1. Post Directly to Cinnamon Cup Coffee community. Do NOT Cross-post.
  2. Use #coffeecontest as the first tag
  3. Post MUST be 300 ENGLISH Words or MORE
  4. Post MUST have at least 3 personal quality photos.
  5. Answer 1 of the 2 questions asked.
  6. Post within the countdown timer (No late entries).
  7. Adhere to the general community rules.

How do I win, what criteria are you looking for?

The coffee team @millycf1976, the Coffee Goddess, and @grindan, the Espresso Patronum, will be judging this contest.

The Coffee Goddess

I'm looking for compelling pensive stories, that are nicely presented. Personal photos spark my interest, and I'm looking for concise content with a creative streak, that touches the heart.
I'm against AI content and I'm not a fan of AI art for this contest.
I'll quickly scan the entries to see that all guidelines are met — If they are, I'll "listen to posts" using the PeakD function, and if I like it, I'll smile and read it twice. 😉

The Espresso Patronum

I'm looking for original stories with heart. I enjoy reading posts that showcase the author's connection to coffee with engaging text and personal photos. I always check the comments section, and smile when I see genuine engagement!
I'm looking forward to reading reflective stories that honour the community's guidelines.
I'm not a fan of photo dumps or poorly formatted posts. 😁

How will I know if I am a winner?

  • A post with the announcement of winners will be made within an hour after the deadline of this contest.
  • The respective Hive awards will be transferred directly to the winners' accounts upon announcement.
  • You will be directly notified that you are the winner in the comments section of your submission.
