I don't have a preferred seasonal drink and regardless of the season, I always look for these two, matcha latte or loose-leaf tea. Otherwise, I'll just pick whatever is available in the cafe, either tea or coffee. Preferably, I like tea combinations in one cup.

What you tell us is interesting, I also like tea and when it's very hot I drink it cold, to cool off. I found "matcha latte" very striking, apparently it's a traditional drink, you'll say.

Thanks for leaving your comment.
Happy weekend.

I don't think I've had nutmeg in my tea ever. That must change! I feel intrigued now. I think it be nice with black tea perhaps; I can start from there 😁

Nutmeg with lemon seems to me to be a good combination 👍🏽

I love nutmeg and I always used the fresh one in Jamaica by grating it. However, when I lived in the Philippines, it was hard to get and even the ground one was more expensive than the other spices. I've only ever had nutmeg with coffee, never with tea. It sounds good though:)))

Here in Venezuela it is very economical and is available in the market. When I lived in Cuba I could not get the spices I like and when someone sold it was very expensive. That's why I like to take advantage of having them at home when I get them.

Although I prefer coffee in general, I've been ordering matcha latte more often than I thought I would. I find it to be so satisfying that I don't need to order a cup of coffee after it, which is what actually happens after I have tea in a coffee shop 😁

Tea combinations sound cool. We often pick hibiscus + lemongrass and add some drops of fresh lemon juice.

Hibiscus tea seems to be popular in Venezuela. I keep mixing up the hot and cold way, but one way increases the blood pressure and the other lowers it. I would have to look on line to see which is which.
Yeah, I like it with lemon too:)

Oh, I didn't know there was a difference. I can tell you we drink it a lot both hot and cold and we're still alive and kicking. I'll find out about that. Thank you!

And yes,. it is popular here because it's healthy, delicious, cheap and refreshing. I have some flowers in the freezer, but most of the time I buy the leaves.

What is a loose leaf tea? Is that some sort of prepration technique? Sorry for my incompetence about the tea consumption… 😁

Anyway, matcha latte is always good, when prepared well. Best wishes!

No, places like Taiwan with many tea farms use dried tea leaves and a strainer to make their tea. It's just larger particles of the tea leaves that are not ground, that are used to make the tea. Sometimes they place them in bags too, but it's common to just make the tea with the dried leaves:)

We usually buy tea bags in the market. But to have a better flavor we buy the leaves dried in bulk at the market. It is more economical and I like it. I have these strawberry-shaped filters, I open it and inside I put the loose and dried leaves I want, I put them in boiling water, let it sit for 3 minutes and that's it. A delicious tea

I do love a good Matcha latte too, it's decadent and a real treat. Not something that I have often though. When I have tea, it's most times loose leaves as well. It might not necessarily be the seasons, but when I'm in the tropics, I drink loose tea leaves for iced tea daily. Sometimes with lemon and at others just plain and unsweetened. However, I have my black coffee all year round in the mornings:)

I know my coffee habits will shift with the autumn coming… not that much, but there will be a change for sure. With the summer ending I already gradually slow down the cold brew and iced coffee preparation. This will make space for more filter and espresso preparations. I don’t stop the hot coffee in the summer, but it is usually consumed only in the mornings, maybe sometimes in the afternoons, but if the temperature outside is above 35 degrees centigrade it is time for ice cold drinks.

A slice of dried lime always adds a bit more freshness in the cold brew coffee!

Many people link autumn with more sweetened and spicy beverages, but coffee will come always black for me. ☕️

It looks tempting! I have tried orange peel in my "guayoyo" (the Venezuelan equivalent to an Americano)I have seen these slices of dried lime too often lately; I guess they have become popular--or I'm paying more attention 😅--Anyway, this slice looks a lot better than the ones I've seen which look more dead than dried, LOL.

Many people link autumn with more sweetened and spicy beverages, but coffee will come always black for me.

Hello.
I can tell you that no matter the season of the year, I can't stop drinking my coffee freshly brewed and well-red.
I start in the mornings, before brushing my teeth, I drink my coffee well red, freshly brewed by me.
Then, in the middle of the morning, I enjoy another good cup with a pastry or cheese sandwich.
I finish in the afternoons at the stroke of six with a large cup and some sweets.
If everything is as I say it is, I will be happy no matter the season.
Would you like to drink coffee with me?

I am trying to limit the amount of cups of coffee to two but sometimes I succumb to the third one in the afternoon. Because there's nothing like a cup of coffee and a snack in the afternoon, right?

My third cup arrives when it is about 03:00 pm which begins what we call here in my country, the hour of the donkey. For this, a coffee is necessary to react and arrive awake at the end of the day.

And in that moment, sometimes what we want is a little nap, lol. But I agree, a coffee helps 😆.

These are probably the least prepared or aesthetic photos I've taken of my morning coffees hahaha... I share them here to mention two things, where I live you don't see all the seasons, but that doesn't affect my coffee drinking (although I must say I would like to live all the seasons and see how it works hahahah).
The first is that I love to drink my coffee while I'm in work meetings, I will always but always order a Vanilla Latte, although I also enjoy espresso coffee very much from time to time. The second is that, yes, I drink coffee with sugar, but believe me I'm trying to stop doing it! In fact, I often ask for it without sugar.

Yes, yes, I know it's wrong! hahaha but I'm learning! I hope you are all well, I send you a tropical hug!

There are no seasons here either, since it is a city where the cold reigns all year round, therefore it does not affect coffee consumption.

Hehe! We thought about that and realised that you don't necessarily have seasons in Venezuela, but from what I've learned from some bloggers here, there are some regions that get very cold, right?

We have two seasons here in Cuamná-Venezuela: hot rainy season and hot dry season 😅 Hot black coffee is a sine quanon of my business meetings, whatever the (hot) season.

I quit sugar in my coffee 20 years ago. Now I just can't drink my coffee if there's sugar in it, not even a bit. It's a matter of time, I guess.

Hehehe... You made me laugh with the seasons of your state. What if it is sure that it is hot, when there is a lot of sun here, people say that hot coffee quenches thirst🤭 I don't see much logic in that.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the seasons. I've lived in the tropics where it's only rain or sunshine, and i still drink coffee all year round in the mornings. However, in the hot weather, I tend to drink iced tea throughout the day. I find that most refreshing:)))

I like tea, on special nights

I could say that between coffee and tea, I prefer coffee. But tea is a drink that I love especially when it's cold and before going to sleep.
But, as for everything I do, I have my customs and habits. I drink tea with lemon, nutmeg and no sweeteners.

IMG_20230826_113646~2.jpg

A few months ago I got in an online store some filters for leaf tea that I loved. As a compulsive shopper that I am, I bought 3 sets for 1$ each set. They are made of Silicone in the shape of musical notes and strawberry. I love these filters.

IMG_20230826_114111~2.jpg

Hi!

You have to feel it to believe it, summer is a perennial season in my hometown. Let's call it autumn for now; we sweat the same anyway! My steaming morning coffee is only a bit hotter than the breeze that is slowly cooking us alive here, ha ha ha ha. It's crazy.

I traveled back home today--I've been working in the next state every weekend for the last 13 years--; the breeze that entered the car was warm to hot. It was almost 2 hours of hell on earth. My husband picked me up at the terminal at noon and we went for coffee to the nearest place--yes, coffee--; we're tough coffeeholics. I'd had water from my cooler already, which evaporated before getting to the places in my body water is supposed to go; I wanted coffee anyway.

I ordered a cup of affogato; my husband, hot mochaccino.

IMG_20230826_201731.jpg

I was expecting a scoop of vanilla gelato. They gave me chocolate ice cream; I never eat or drink chocolate in hot weather. Well it was ice cream anyway, and the chilled air inside the mall helped a lot, too.

IMG_20230826_201908.jpg

This was not typical of me. I like my coffee black 99% of the time. But hot espresso and ice cream in the same cup presented itself as a good idea after a two hour drive on a ball of fire. A ball of ice cream logically follows after a ball of fire.

And it was a good idea indeed.

0

I am craving that ice cream right now.
I love coffee and I love ice cream, so it's natural that I love an affogato, I suppose. I've only had it once, and the ice cream was served separately from the coffee. However, I've seen many Venezuelans with it mixed together in a cup:)

0

If you give a Venezuelan some space, we will get that affogato inside an arepa. We have our way to do things, apparently, ha ha ha ha.

Seriously, this is the only way I've seen it served here; what did surprise me was the chocolate. I was expecting vanilla.

The hot air coming through the windows reminds me of our visits to Maracaibo when we visited my in-laws. When the breeze blows and it seems cool to them, I'm roasting in the hot air 🤣

That Affogato ice cream looks delicious. You've made me crave it, but it would be better with vanilla ice cream. ;)

This looks FANTASTIC! I am not a sweet chocolate person in general (although I love bitter dark chocolate) so I can totally get being a bit put off by it when the weather is also hot... However, this looks so good that I feel that I would dig right into it too. Add espresso to anything, and I'm probably up for it to be real haha!

It's so funny that after the hot car ride your husband went for a hot drink! Sounds like a wonderful way for the two of you to relax together after the drive. 😍

I live in a tropical country, which is why there are no seasons, and the city where I live is cold most of the time, so coffee is a must during the day, it brings energy, warmth and encouragement to face the difficult days ahead.

In my city there are seasons where the famous "El Niño" phenomenon occurs, this brings with it very strong heat seasons, in these times it is always good to have a lemonade with ice or an iced tea to mitigate the heat during these seasons.

I leave you a picture of the coffee that is normally consumed in the city, today I went shopping and I saw the perfect occasion to share with you this coffee that is very delicious and has an scent that seduces the senses.

For the moment that's all, I'm going to drink my coffee and enjoy Sunday with all the energy that our beloved dark coffee provides.

Greetings to all and may the good coffee be with you.☕

Around here we don't have seasons. So there is no such thing as seasonal drinks. And for me, it doesn't really matter if it's hot or not when I go to a cafe, I usually go for a cappuccino.
And my black coffee at home doesn't fail no matter if it's hot or cold, hehe.

And in the afternoons I sometimes feel like a cup of tea. I usually drink green tea or sometimes an infusion of ginger and turmeric with lemon.

an infusion of ginger and turmeric with lemon.

I've been meaning to try that one.

We don't mind the heat. We've had hot coffee three times today, amongst the flames.

Jaja!!! Never too hot to have a coffee!

Ps: Try the infusion. It is good and healthy. And don't forget to add a peppercorn to activate the beneficial effects of the turmeric.

Thanks a lot for the tip. I know everyone was drinking that infusion during the pandemics. Fortunately, the virus was easy on all of us in my family. I confess I wasn't as worried as I should have, except for my only son, who was alone in another country. I died a little every day; he was fine as well.

Anyway, now that I have all due instructions, I'll make some for us at home 😁

It must have been distressing with your son abroad. My only son is also abroad, but he left a year ago. During the pandemic, he was here.

I drink the infusion because I like it more than anything else hehe. I also like it with ginger only and lemon. If you like it sweet, you can add a touch of honey. And it's very comforting.

It's great when our favorite treats are healthy.

I never add any sweetener to my tea anymore, but I used to love honey in my lemongrass infusion.

Yeah, I get that in countries where there are no seasons. I also have cappuccinos when I go out, but at home, it's always black coffee.

Sometimes I drink rooibos tea at nights:)

I haven't had a rooibos tea for a long time. I had brought some before the pandemic when I went to visit my sister-in-law in Spain. But I ran out of it a while ago. And here is not easy to get good tea or variety and if you do get it, it's very expensive.

and if you do get it, it's very expensive.

Yeah, it's the same in Jamaica and even the Philippines. Yet places like the UK you get every variety you can think of, and they are all relatively cheap.

I love tea with curcuma and lemon to relieve cold symptoms.

I love your pictures, you are so beautiful and next to that cup of cappuccino you look great.

I tell you that my all time favorite is the mocaccino wherever I go I ask for one to delight my palate and to know if it is worth coming back. I always like it, but if the day is rainy and cold it is spectacular.

I share with you this last mocca I enjoyed a few days ago. Cheers!

Thank you ♡
You look pretty with your mocca. There was a time years ago when I used to drink mochaccino frequently in a coffee shop near the place where I worked. I loved the way they made it there. But since I stopped visiting, I lost the habit of drinking mocha.
😊☕️

This photo is a vibe!! 😍✨ It's like the cactus is out for coffee with whoever sits at that table! There is something about a live plant as decor that is just 100% my style.

The coffee looks delicious as well, now I am craving a frothy cappuccino! ☕️

Ginger turmeric tea is one of my household stables. I noticed that it speeds up the process of any sickness, and also does wonders for inflammation. Gotta love something tasty with a purpose! 😁💚

A frothy cappuccino! Where? I'm ready hehe ☕️♡

We are fortunate to live in tropical countries where the weather is the same for most of the year, so we can enjoy coffee all year long no matter what season it is in other countries.

Thanks for leaving your comment.
Good day.

Good evening, dear friends.
Reviewing the post in detail,
no matter the time of the year, caffeinated or natural drinks, are unique, either one, according to the time or our moods which is good to highlight, relaxes us and makes us meditate on our next steps, either in company or in solitude.
Loved the recipe for nutmeg with lemon, I didn't know that interesting item I'll be making it soon.
Lemon is wonderful, it helps us to normalize and neutralize our organism, so as an ingredient can not miss.
Blessings to all.

Yes my friend, lemon is one of my favorite tea ingredients. We'd love to see your favorite cup for coffee or tea. You could share a picture.

I live in a tropical country, where the four seasons are not present but there is summer, which is characterized as a dry period, where temperatures are quite high and there is almost total absence of rain. The other is winter, where the weather is generally cooler. In this season it is common for it to rain, but during these two times of the year, hot, black, coffee is my favorite. On rainy days we just crave a hot drink to keep us active but on the hottest days when we all want to cool down and we have the idea that a hot coffee well charged will be the solution to regulate your body temperature.
