Should kids have the right to sue there parent

Seriously seeing this prompt, I was like, This can never be possible in Africa. If there is one thing I know Africa is known for, it is discipline. When I was a kid, my parents disciplined me. I came to realize that my parents were building me up for the future. Seriously, if they hadn’t disciplined me, I wonder what I could have become. I am so grateful and proud of myself. My people will always say that one person doesn’t train a child, which is true. During my childhood, my parents weren’t the people that disciplined both my pastors and my teachers.

You see, this stage called childhood is an important stage. It is this stage that will make or destroy you. If your parent fails to discipline you at this stage, you have a problem with the society. It is very important as a parent to discipline your child with love and care; don’t make them see reasons that you want the best for them. During my childhood, if I did anything wrong, my mom would flog me. After flogging me, she would call me and apologise for beating me, and she would correct me that I should know not to do that again. If I remember that my mom will flog me, I have to discipline myself so that Mom will not flog me.

I can’t even imagine a child suing their parents; I can’t just stop laughing over this. I can remember my parents beating me up as if they were not my real parents; the thought of suing them never came to my mind. Just I believe that before my parents flog me, I did something wrong in most cases when I wronged my parents, I will be expecting them to discipline me because I know I have done something wrong. If I had sued my parent back, I could have been the woman I am today; in fact, my story could have been a different story.

Every parent has the right to discipline their kids, but there are some parents who exceed their limit, which may lead to child abuse. I will always tell people that any parent that beats her child to the extent that such a child is fighting for life is such a parent is mentally not stable; such a parent should undergo a proper mental checkup.

Would it be okay if children were given the right to sue their parents? It may work in other countries, but it can never happen in my country. Your parents have the right to discipline you. There is this woman in my compound; she is disciplining her child, and if you come close, she will flog you too. My people believe in disciplining.

Seriously, parents of this generation are really failing; they don’t find it necessary to discipline their child. I can remember during my days my mom was ever really to discipline; that is why kids of these days are bringing disgrace to the society.

A world where a child could sue her parent will not be funny; that family can never be in peace. Believe me, it will be a beach love; unite in the family, and the family will be like a war zone. Parents will be so afraid to discipline their kids. In kids, giving the privilege to sue their parents, they believe they will misuse the privilege. I am totally against a child suing there parent.

Kids should not be given such privilege to sue their parent; it will not be nice. Believe me, once they are given such an opportunity, they will misuse it.
