Family is everything. Having the privilege to take care of your old parent is something you should be grateful for. Taking care of these age people comes with many blessings. It has always been my wish to take care of my parent. Why will I take them to a retirement home? I need to be there to take care of them at that stage, all the need to care and love. At this stage, the turn to their children, their strength has failed them, and their lives depend on their kids. I see this as a payback time. They have care, love, and provide for you; it is now your time to shower them with love and care.

At this stage of their life, they don’t need your money; all they want is your love and care. They don’t have strength again; they behave like little babies. They need to be handled just like the way we handle little babies. Family is one of the greatest gifts to mankind. Family is all about supporting each other because there will come a time that you will not be capable of handling something.

Taking care of my mother at old ages is one thing I will appreciate; this is a period for me to prove how much I love and care for her. It is a time for me to pay her back for taking care of me from when I was in her womb till I got of age. I would like to take care of her in this new phase of hers; it is my responsibility to take care of my aged mom. I want to create a lovely memory with my mom that I will cherish throughout my lifetime.

Seriously, I can’t take my mom to a retirement home; even if finance was not the issue, my mind will not be at peace even when I know that she will be taken care of. It will look like I abandoned my mom. She will never forgive me. There is nothing like family. Of course, the retirement home will try its best to take care of your aged loved ones. Most of them spending the last moment of their life with family will mean a lot to them; believe me or not, the love they receive from the retirement home can’t be compared with the love they will receive from family.

You should not push them away; all they need is love and care. I can remember when my grandmother was living with us. It is not easy because she was behaving like a child, but everyone treated her with care and love. On her dying bed, she blessed every one of us, and she thanked us. She died happily and fulfilled.

I can’t imagine taking my mom to a retirement home. She will be so disappointed. I have a strong bond with my mom. I will want to stay with her during this journey of hers and shower her with love and care. I don’t want to have any reason to regret.

I definitely love your perspective regarding this subject, there are things money can't buy, the kind of attention and affection that can be given to old people by their relatives can't be found in retirement homes and from this side of the world we consider it an heavenly duty to take care of our old loved ones.

I will sure do same for my parents, and even though I might be too busy with business and all that, I prefer to bring a nanny home seeing that other members of my family would be on the lookout too.
