This time I will vary things a little with respect to the description of the cards that follow in the analysis of the new mini edition of the cards called "Riftwatchers", this change is that, with the cards of the type "Rare" which are the ones that follow, this time I will cover them from the point of view of my own deck of cards, that is, I will not describe it in a general way as I have always done, the reason is because, I want to vary a little this type of content and thus provide more value from what is my own deck.

Also, although this would actually be the 3rd part of the analysis of these cards, I have named it as the N°1 part of the rare cards, because after this publication, I will choose 3 other cards of the same rarity to analyze them, which are not in my deck and that I will also cover in a more general way as usual, later I will complete the rest of the publications, with the aim of showing all the cards that I would like to form a competitive deck in a certain league.

If you want to know the best cards that could strengthen my own deck, stay tuned to this publication, because for sure you will like these cards too:

Runic Skyclaw

This is by far for me one of the best cards of the "Riftwatchers" edition of the rare type that I have tried in my deck of cards, the reason why it is in the 1st place is obvious, it is part of what is one of my "Favorite Splinter" which is nothing more and nothing less than the majestic "Dragons", on the other hand, in my opinion the design of this card has enchanted me, I have been surprised with the level of details that it has in its drawing, the truth I must highlight at this point the incredible design work of the project, but, this is not all, since it is an extremely powerful card and you will see why.

Highlighted Characteristics

  • Mana: The mana cost to be able to summon this card in the field is +9 points, which, I think is quite reasonable due to the powerful characteristics it possesses, of course, it is a monster that is made in my opinion for high mana cost battles, which is good, since lately I have found many battles of this type in the field, so we can devise a very good strategy with this fabulous card where we have to use some kind of offensive and attack at the same time.

  • Attack Points and Speed: This card is really powerful from just its lowest level, having at that point +3 ranged attack points, having the possibility of reaching a total of +5 attack points, a total beastliness. On the other hand, we have one of the strongest points that a card can have in terms of attack and defense, this is nothing more and nothing less than its "Speed", having from level 1 to 8, a total of +6 points of speed, being a really fast and lethal card when attacking, but that, it is also a very good feature that increases its resistance and defense in the field, not to mention that, in most scenarios, gives us the advantage of attacking first.

  • Life Points and Shield: These are the other pair of characteristics that the cards possess, and where "Runic Skyclaw" also stands out, the reason is because this card possesses from its lowest level a total of +5 vital points, but, getting to have in its maximum level a total of +6 points, I would say that this is its negative part, since this subtracts in its resistance, but it can really compensate it with its speed, and with one of its abilities that I will describe later. On the other hand, this card also has shield, having from its lowest level a total of +3 points, which are very good to defend against various attacks regardless of the position in which it is, but, at its highest level it gains +1 additional point, giving a grand total of +4 points, which are great and really add to its defense.

Abilities

The combination of skills of this card, greatly highlights its performance on the battlefield, plus it is a fabulous combination that helps both attack and defense, taking this into account, these skills are as follows:

  • Flying: This is the ability that I mentioned that I would mention, since, the fact that this card has the ability to fly, as most of the "Dragons" have, makes both its attack and defense increase, the reason for this is very simple, if we combine its speed with this ability, this card becomes quite difficult to hit, additionally, it can also attack more comfortable, having great chances of hitting its blow.

  • Snipe: This ability is really great, most of you must already know it, since it focuses on attacking monsters that do not have any type of attack, or those that have magical or ranged attack types, so its offensive focuses on exterminating these cards that are usually quite dangerous in a strategy, on the other hand, although when this ability can not be used, it is a great weapon against our opponent's tank.

  • Reflection Shield: I really loved this ability, it's a genius, because with it you can protect me from adjacent damage that can cause the "Blast" ability, which is one of the most dangerous, but it can also have an influence by totally reducing the damage for the "Return Fire, Backfire and even Throns" abilities, so this really increases your resistance and defense.

  • Giant Killer: Finally, this card in its last level acquires the ability called "Giant Killer", which increases its attack power incredibly if it faces cards with mana costs higher than 10 points, which means that, if at this point it can already cause +5 points of damage, if it manages to attack a card higher than 10 points of mana, it could easily cause +10 points of damage, which is crazy.

Final Comments

This card I would really love to have in my "Dragon" deck, as it exponentially increases the damage power it could cause, as well as having the possibility to combine this with any splinter in the game.

Sea Stalker

This card for me, is the 2nd most powerful card I would like to be part of my "Water Splinter" deck, the reasons for this are many, as it has to do with its characteristics and of course, its set of abilities which make it a really powerful card. Her design if great, although I like the previous card much more, but, this place she earns it thanks to her attack power and what she can really do with her abilities and attack power.

Highlighted Characteristics

  • Mana: The amount of mana to summon this card is +8 points, which are more than acceptable, as it can adapt to more battle strategies involving different mana costs, plus, thanks to its skill set and great features, it would certainly do so.

  • Attack Points and Speed: One of the strongest points of this card is its attack power, which, from its lowest level is +4 points, being incredibly powerful, but, at its highest level, it reaches a power ranging between +5 points, so, it is a card with a great offensive power. On the other hand, regarding its speed, it is not really very high, but that does not mean that it subtracts power, since this card in my opinion I see it very well balanced, in that sense, from level 1, this card has +2 points of speed, but at level 8, it gets +3 points, which are good, not to mention that they can be increased with the right combination of cards, especially with the summoner called "Kelya Frendul".

  • Life Points: Its life points are good, it is a card that can have the chance to stay in the field for a few rounds which, is what really matters, but, thanks to one of its abilities that, I will mention later, it has a very good defense, even when it has no shield to protect itself, in such sense, from its lowest level, this card has +5 life points, reaching a maximum of +7 points in its highest level.

Abilities

The abilities are the highlight of any card, which really makes "Sea Stalker" a really powerful and useful monster in the field, in addition to complementing my lineup, since it does not possess many powerful cards that attack at a distance in my "Water Splinter". With this in mind, the abilities of "Sea Stalker" are as follows:

  • Snipe: We already know what "Snipe" can do, and I like it, since I can form a pretty strong lineup focused on this type of attack, which will only destroy cards that can be of much use to the opponent, leaving only their battle tank.

  • Camouflage: This ability is really good and focuses on protecting this card until the end, which exponentially increases its resistance in the field even without having a very good defense, in this sense, this makes its defense is good and only focuses on attacking, which is where its strength really is, having this clear, what makes this ability is that it can not be the target of attack until it passes to the first position, which means that if we play it in the last position, it can last until the last round of the game, giving us a chance to win.

  • Cleanse: This skill is great and serves as a common support for our "Battle Tank", what it does is that it removes any negative effect that may cause a rule or skill on the field imposed by the same battle or by our opponent, which greatly helps our battle tank.

  • Amplify: This ability is very good, being the same purely defensive support, which makes "Sea Stalker" a card that can serve both offensively and defensively, in addition to support, making it a card with a very good versatility, able to adapt to different scenarios that may arise.

Final Comments

This card would be a great addition to my "Water Splinter", as it would add not only offense, but also defense and great support for the whole "Splinter", this is due to its unique set of abilities that allow it to have a great impact on the battlefield, so, in a general way, it can serve practically for whatever, as I well mentioned before.

Queen Of Crows

With this card I reach the end of this "Top 3" of cards that would strengthen my own deck of cards in the game, being the "Splinter of Death" one of my favorites, however, in the order of cards this would be the 3rd, although there were only two options in that team, but in my opinion, this is the best, in addition, its design I LOVE, it is brutal and again I just have to thank the team of "Splinterlands" for their hard work. Now, to continue, this card would be really useful to me, mostly thanks to its abilities, but I will detail them in the course of this last section.

Highlighted Characteristics

  • Mana: The mana cost of this card is 9 points, which are very good and go in accordance with its main stats, which are life, speed and attack points, on the other hand, this is a card that can be played comfortably in battles with high mana cost, but, it could also be adapted for certain occasions where we have no other options to resort to, especially if we need a battle tank that attacks with axes.

  • Attack Points and Speed: This card in its lowest level has +2 attack points, which really are not very high, but it is fine with it, on the other hand, in its last level it has a total of +3 points, which, if I am a little disappointed, but, I do not see this card as an offensive weapon really, but rather as a resistant battle tank, which can withstand several rounds in the field. Regarding its "Speed", this is not very high, but it is acceptable, starting with +2 points at its lowest level and ending with +3 points at its highest.

  • Life Points: The life points of this card is what really interests me about its main abilities, since it is practically a battle tank with a ranged attack type, which is not bad and can be very beneficial in certain scenarios that we are presented with, in such sense, the life points of this card from its lowest level are +11 points, but at the peak of its power, they rise to +13 points, which is great.

Abilities

The strong point of this card, besides its vital points that make it really resistant, are indisputably the set of skills it possesses, which in my opinion I love, plus it can serve for many different occasions, in this sense, the skills it possesses are the following:

  • Close Range: This ability allows this card to attack from the first position, which is very good, because as I said before, it is a battle tank that can attack from the first position, which is great and often necessary, since sometimes we need this type of tank in order to avoid direct contact with a melee monster.

  • Headwinds: I love this ability and I haven't really seen it in many cards, but, the fact that we have the possibility to decrease the attack power of range, is a great opportunity to get the advantage in a battle, and that's what "Queen of Crows" achieves with this ability, if you notice we can use this card in many rule sets.

  • Slow: We all know what "Slow" can do, so, the fact that we have the possibility to decrease in -1 point the speed of all the opponent's cards, can give us a great advantage in the battle, in fact, we already explained in the past how the speed is determinant to be able to win a battle, so you can imagine the scope of it.

  • Return Fire: Last but not least, we have the powerful ability called "Return Fire", which can return the incoming ranged attack, causing damage to the attacking monster, which is very cool, as this makes this card an excellent tank, capable of resisting many rounds in the field if we manage to accompany it well.

Final Comments

For all of the above, this card in my opinion, is an excellent addition to my "Death Team", giving me the possibility of using another tank that can serve me for many occasions where I need to attack my opponent from a distance and avoid direct contact, on the other hand, it is also effective defending, since its abilities weaken and return the damage, so it will be partly complicated to beat it, as long as we know the exact moment to use it, because not every time we can do it.

Conclusion

With this I have reached the end of this post, I hope you liked this detailed description of the cards that would strengthen my own deck, this means that I have very good competitive teams in the Splinters of "Dragon, Water and Death", and although I also have "Fire", I think it was worth highlighting this last death card, however, I will have prepared another top of rare cards of the same edition, covering a little more generally its usefulness in battles. Also, I will bring some cool strategies, plus some different content, with several surprises that I hope you will appreciate.

Without further ado, until the next "Splinterlords".
