Happy, But Still Pushing Forward. #weekend-engagement 234

Good day, friend. It is a good culture to always greet before making your views known. Whether you are the one visiting or someone is visiting you, good norms demand that courtesy should come first before passing whatever information one has to give.

It has been a while since I featured here. I mean in the #weekend-engagement program. It is my pleasure to show up again.

The year is almost done. Yes, it is as good as if it is already over. It is only a child (like my children) who would not have gotten plans for the year. Well, we will remain grateful to the gifts of nature. Like me, we might not have achieved all our set goals but certainly every sane person would have made some tangible progress. We can always update our plans towards next year.

This post is my entry for the #weekend-engagement prompt by @galenkp. I want to attempt the first question on the list of this week's engagement prompt. The link to the prompt is here

Are You Happy With Your Life?

Yes, I am happy with my life. I am happy because life is a precious gift from nature. To see myself the way I am with the talents and abilities God has blessed me with, I am grateful.

In respect to what I have achieved in life so far, I would say that I am happy. Yes, I would have had cause to say that I am not happy. But in evaluating the story of my life, I think I should be happy. I should be happy that at my age and in a country where life is not that easy, God has helped me to acquire and achieve something for myself.

With respect to the way life has turned out this year (seeing we are already at the end of the year) I would still say that I am happy. I am happy because the economic situation in Nigeria would not have had someone to survive with daily bread, talk less of adding one or two things to the list of one’s achievements. With all gratitude, I thank God that something has been added to my life and that of my family this year.

Any Room For Improvement?

Yes! There is much room for improvement. At my age, I still see a prime future. I still have big dreams and prospects. I still believe in achieving more. No matter what I might have achieved in my life so far, I still see people who have gotten better than me. There is no crime in aspiring for more. In every aspect of my life, I still have a large room for improvement.

One thing about life which I have learnt is that the struggle to get better will always be there. Technology has been on a progressive improvement every year. The things we had then and thought that they were the best have been outdated these days. So, someone must have to strive to get what is invoked currently. That would not mean that one is not content. It's only because even the climatic weather has changed remarkably from what we used to have. We need to acquire what is effective at the moment.

Conclusion

Though I am happy with what I have now and where I am now, I still desire to get better than what I am presently. So there is still room for improvement.

Thank you for your time in reading my blog.
