Today I dust off my chinese inks to bring you an edition of the inktober challenge, this is tail, and it refers more to a horse or pony tail, I wanted to bring you a little variation making this country warrior cat with a fluffy tail too, made in chinese ink. I also want to thank @castleberry because her last paintings with this technique were so amazing that she encouraged me to use them again, it wasn't easy but here we go.

Hoy desempolvo mis tintas chinas para traerles una edición del reto inktober, esta es colita, y refiere mas a una cola de caballo o de pony, he querido traerles una pequeña variación haciendo este gato guerrero del campo con una esponjosa cola también, hecho en tinta china. Quiero también agradecer a @castleberry porque sus ultimas pinturas con esta técnica fueron tan sorprendentes que me animó a volver a usarlas, no fue fácil pero allá vamos.

⚪ Process/ Proceso

The sketch phase was relatively easy, my idea was a field warrior cat, posing with his big fluffy tail, something that was nice but at the same time not so difficult to paint because I have not been painting with this technique for about 2 years and I have always found it very delicate, because you must always keep in mind that it is not the same as a watercolor, in my point of view they work differently.

La fase del boceto fue relativamente fácil, mi idea fue un gato guerrero de campo, posando con su gran cola esponjosa, algo que fuera bonito pero a su vez no tan difícil de pintar pues llevo aproximadamente 2 años que no pinto con esta técnica y siempre me ha parecido muy delicada, pues siempre debes tener en cuenta que no es lo mismo que una acuarela, a mi punto de vista trabajan distinto.

To paint I used brushes and the nib, obviously because I needed to make the flat base Xd and then, if I used the nib to make the lineart and some gradients with this plot, my beautiful nib was given to me a few days ago by my mother and is themed harry Potter, I love the saga and she knows it, it has fallen like a glove because I just did not have a pen of this style.

Para pintar utilice pinceles y la plumilla, obviamente porque necesitaba hacer la base plana Xd y luego, si utilice la pluma para hacer el lineart y algunos degradados con esta trama, mi bella pluma me la regalo hace unos días mi madre y es de temática de harry Potter, me encanta la saga y ella lo sabe, me ha caído como anillo al dedo porque justo no tenia pluma de este estilo.

A tip that I would take into account if it is the first time I paint with this technique would be the amount to use this ink, two drops of it I think it would be enough to paint a drawing like this, I used 2 drops and I did not manage to finish it, so I kept it in the container for a next occasion, as with watercolor I also recommend placing a thin layer of water on the entire canvas of the sheet to prepare it and that the ink has more mobility, because if it is too dry the ink will not run smoothly.

Un consejo que yo tendría muy en cuenta si es la primera vez que pinto con esta técnica seria la cantidad a usar de esta tinta, dos gotas de ella creo que serian suficiente para pintar un dibujo como este, yo use 2 gotas y no logre acabármela, así que la guarde en el recipiente para una próxima ocasión, al igual que con la acuarela también recomiendo colocar una fina capa de agua en todo el lienzo de la hoja para prepararla y que la tinta tenga mas movilidad, porque si esta muy seca la tinta no va correr con soltura.

I also consider this technique an excellent opportunity to improve the pulse, lately I have become so accustomed to digital that when I switched to traditional painting it seemed a long jump, my strokes are not the same as in digital but as I was painting my hands were loosened with greater dexterity, The same as always when you want to paint in this technique, make sure that your canvas is a CANSON of at least 300gr so you will not have to worry about your canvas losing its flatness and it will be uncomfortable to paint, or even that it will break, this weight of 300gr is very resistant for this. Considero también esta técnica una excelente oportunidad para mejorar el pulso, últimamente me he acostumbrado tanto al digital que a la hora de cambiar al tradicional me parecido un salto bastante largo, mis trazos no son los mismos que en digital pero a medida que fui pintando mis manos se fueron soltando con mayor destreza, igual siempre que quieras pintar en esta técnica procura que tu lienzo sea un CANSON de al menos 300gr así no te tendrás que preocupar porque tu lienzo pierda la planitud y te sea incomodo pintar, o incluso que se te rompa, este gramaje de 300gr es muy resistente para ello. Me ha relajado mucho volver a esta técnica ¿Qué te ha parecido? Cuéntame, ¿ te gustaría pintar en esta técnica?
