My Hive Goals

Since my first post in August last year, being consistent in writing and engaging with other authors on the Hive platform have not really been easy. Sometimes the body spirit is weak, as the urge to be more visible has been there, but penning down the writing seems to be the difficult part. Guess that's what happens when you once dreaded writing.

For these few weeks, I have regained certain strength that I never thought I would. I now engage more with other authors and even post more often. It's really a growth to an extent and that's why I feel setting my Hive goals is the right thing to do at this stage. These goals I hope to accomplish within the space of four months. That is, by the end of the year — so help me God.

The following are my Hive goals for the rest of this year.

1. 200 HP

Yeah, this might be small to you , but it is a big deal for me. While my current HP as of now is less than 100, within the four remaining months of the year, I would like to take it to 200 HP. As a beginner in the platform, it might seem difficult but not impossible. All that it would take is a little more work and improvements, and I am willing and ready to give those. On the other hand, some unforeseen circumstances have actually led to my sluggish growth in the platform, but I think those need to be overcome. So just look out for me, as I would one of the fastest growing accounts here on Hive in months to come.

2. More Engagement with others

Due to my right schedule since joining the platform, I have not had time to interact and engage with other authors. However, the little I have done in the last few weeks, I have realised how fun it is actually. Thanks to the platforms such as Hive Naija Weekend Engagement — where my naija people interact and engage each other on different topics. I have been able to know some great personalities, as a result of this and I am loving it. I hope to engage more with others. I have been more focused about the reward aspect of this platform but now, it is time to pay attention to the fun part of it.

3. Winning Contests — such as LMAC (Let's Make A Collage)

It's been about ten months since I have been participating in the LMAC contests — a contest where participants are given an image and are required to create a collage from it, together with other images, I have never been listed among the best fifteen (15). Prior to joining Hive, I had no experience on graphics, however I have been able to improve in my creativity so far. At this stage, I feel I have gotten to the point of being among the best fifteen. And that is a goal I have set for myself — to be among the best fifteen before the end of this year.

In the near future, running a community would be considered. But at this stage, improving myself is the ultimate goal.
