Ive heard many stories of how people were scammed by fruadstars, it's really unfortunate and sometimes I would say that the victims responded improperly, fruadstars can't just scam or hack you without you giving them information, it's because most of our virtual valuables are passworded for safety keeping and even other institutions, firms and organisations create a system of security that allows only the owner and whoever the owner wishes to access his property or funds.

Scammers have also developed tricky ways of gaining access to others virtual or electronic funds like phishing links which most times are really unnecessary, all these requires just our permission, it's never going to work if we don't click the link or give out the information, that's why we have to be very careful with how we approach online invitation.

My Experience

I actually don't have a really bad experience with fruadstars because I've really been careful to avoid them, all thanks to my parents for forcing that knowledge into my head, my father would always worn me of online fruadstars and that I should be careful of what I click online.

One unsuccessful experience I had with fruadstars happened when I opened a bank account, in my country it's normal to receive calls from fruadstars when you open a bank account so I was actually expecting them, they will always tell you they're calling from your bank or it's your bank manager or maybe the customer care.

The fruadstar that called me told me he was the bank manager and that I should give him the digits at the back of my bank card, he said wanted to fix something that as wrong with y account, I already knew it was false so I told him I was already at the bank can he come out so we would meet, it's funny how they always end when they realize that you already know they're scammers, the guy started insulting me as they always do, I guess it's because he waisted his airtime on me hahaha, I told him in response "no go find work do de do scamming ehear".

Ever since from then I've been very careful with my informations and even how I answer calls to strange numbers, just last week someone called me and told me that he sent 2 thousand naira recharge card to me, immediately I heard it I ended the call because I knew it wasn't true, there was no nessege of me receiving any recharge card and when I checked my balance it was showing 0.0 recharge card 😂, that's because I hardly buy card just data.

The experience my friend had with scammers

One of my friend one time told me she just started an online business and that it's very genuine, to my surprise she told me that she started with two thousand naira and at the end of the transaction she would gain over twenty thousand naira, immediately she said it I told her it was scammers but she wouldn't listen, she told me that someone she knows has gotten his gain but I still insisted that it was scammers.

Some days latter I asked her about the business and she told me that when it was time to get her gain they business manager told her she needs more three thousand naira to remove her money, hmmm I made sure I didn't laugh at her at that moment because it was painful to her, I replied her " but I told you it was scam".

In her case what she needed was experience, I bet you she wouldn't try that again, sometimes we just need to be wise and careful.
