REMINDER, Chess Brothers League Season 3 "Master Sacrifice" - Announcement of Round 8
Dear chess friends!
The countdown is on! The 7th round of the Master Sacrifice league was played and with this the leaderboard starts to define its possible destiny. This round was one of the strongest in terms of "performance" as the average ranking was 2073 points but this is also due to the absence of several players as this time 18 players were present.
We had a new winner, @kintokris won the tournament with an excellent score and with this he moved up a step in the results table. @eniolw in second place and maintains the lead in the overall standings. @jesusmgl1995 is still going strong and continues with excellent performances in the Hive Chess leagues.
You can see the whole results of this round in this report.
Momentos
@lighteye with white pieces has a totally winning position against an opponent that surpasses him in rating. Perhaps the time pressure affected him because there is no other explanation. The position is winning and there is no weakness for Black to exploit. However, White concludes with a perpetual check.
The position is somewhat uncomfortable because of the space disadvantage. We have already seen emichesmaster drive this type of structure with white pieces and he knows how to take advantage of it quite well.
In a desperate attempt to free himself Black plays a typical but inaccurate reaction at this point. Black's move e5 leads to the loss of a pawn and worse the transition to a completely lost ending. It was better to continue playing passively with the move b6 and try to develop the queenside.

There was a quickly growing lag between the moves of my mouse and the moves on the board. So I had to opt for a certain point and not risk a connection loss.
Oh ok, yeah, the connection problems when playing chess suck. It's annoying.
I once again voice for deleting item 3+х from the table and once again miss the tour.
Make 6 min, and let those who want - use the berserk mode. And 0 sec between games, there is time for the first move
