We are all aware of how convenient the metal is. It does not just strengthen a foundation but it can make things simpler. However, if your house or any establishments near the sea. It's not a good idea to use metal. I think salt is the worst enemy of metal. It's easier to be defective or gets rusty. Although there are things we can do to avoid the rusty thing because of today's technology. It's just that you will need more money to do so.

Let's say if what you're going to make is like this and doesn't need to spend money. There will be materials that can not be affected by the saltwater. I think it's very clear what kind of materials will be. Some things can not be seen so I'm going to state them instead.

I think I said in my previous post that currently, I'm working at the sanctuary. It's just like a part-time job though. We only have 18 days and we will be done working here. The main purpose that we were hired here was to repair and clean the sanctuary.

Last week we only did cleaning the surroundings of the sanctuary. We clear the seaweeds from the shore that were carried away by the waves. During the typhoon, there was a strong wind that created waves. That's not normal because we always have a peaceful sea here. So we cleared it first since this sanctuary became a tourist spot in our town.

We dug a hole to minimize the usage of space in throwing garbage. We dug it deeper to make sure when the waves disturb the sea again it will not be going out. It's hard and a lot of work in doing so but that was what the management told us to do.

After clearing the shore we started building this cottage that serves as a place where the guard will stay to watch over the whole sea of the sanctuary. We had a carpenter in our group so he was the one in charge of guiding us on what to do.

We only used the bamboo tree that serves as the post in this cottage. We used it because there were a lot of bamboos there in the storeroom. Before the bridge in the sanctuary was renovated into a concrete bridge. This sanctuary used to have a bamboo bridge where the visitors can walk there and see the different fish. The sanctuary earned a lot of money from those fishes. Also, it's a pretty place that is nice to stay. Some people just came here to kill time. You know the surroundings in this place. It's frigid because many trees surround it.

We were told to use nylon in tying it all. We must make sure every piece of the material is attached to each other. In tying it's like nailing a nail in the wood. Although it's difficult because it took a lot of time compared to nailing. Sticking the bamboo pieces will not be comparable to doing it with a nail. Even so, it's not easy to lose the nylon being tied from it.

Let's just not compare the quality of the results. Let's just focus on how to spend less while avoiding the bad effect of saltwater.
