Refreshing to Little Tokyo and HeHa Ocean View in Yogyakarta with family

Hello, dear Hivers! How are you all doing? Yesterday I was looking at photos in my cell phone gallery and accidentally saw my holiday album. I remembered I wanted to share my experience some time ago when I visited Central Java, Yogyakarta with my family. My last visit there was quite impressive.

This is a tourist spot in Yogyakarta called Little Tokyo. The journey from the city center is about 1 hour and it is located in the highlands so the air there is cold. The place is nice and the view is also beautiful like in Japan. You can see in the photo above that there is a cherry tree with pink flowers blooming. Below us the view was also very beautiful and stunning.

As you can see in this picture, I took a photo in front of Japanese Maple trees and it is very beautiful! If you look carefully, you can see that in the photo behind me there is a woman wearing a kimono typical of traditional Japanese clothing because there is a Japanese clothing rental place for taking photos at that place. I didn't have time to rent it, unfortunately.

In this photo there is a photo of my older brother who is still single, my mother and me. I don't think this photo is complete if my dad isn't there.

This is my mother who still looks young right and she is always to go out to take photos wherever she goes. My mother always seems to enjoy her time on vacation so she doesn't get bored at home or doing nothing. Hehehe

We stayed there, at my in-laws' house and we were there for a week. Actually on our visit my family, namely my mother and older brother, came too. So, we went to Yogyakarta driving 2 cars along the road. We decided to take our own car because my husband's family wanted to travel alone using my husband's car there, so we didn't have to depend on my brother's car. My mother and sister stayed at the hotel while I stayed at my in-laws' house.

This is a photo with my husband's family, there is his mother, his older sister, and his beautiful niece. We are in the Chinese food restaurant Kong Kong which is famous for being delicious in the city of Yogyakarta, it was the first time I ate there. As you can see behind me in the pictures, there is a large menu on the wall and there are more than 40 menus available.

The journey from the city of Malang to the city of Yogyakarta takes approximately 5-6 hours via the toll road. We left in the morning and when we got there it was already afternoon. We visited several good tourist attractions there.

Apart from being able to meet my family in Yogyakarta, there are my husband's parents, there is his older sister, there is one of my husband's nephews who I miss. She is a little girl of 11 years old and she is growing into a very beautiful girl. Indeed, from childhood we can see that she is beautiful and very cute. Her face also looks like a Korean artist, you know. Her name is Valencia. What's even surprising is that when I met her, she was taller than me. Wow! I lost to the little girl. Hehehe

When we got there, we rested for a while at my in-laws' house in near Malioboro. Then we went to one of the famous delicious Chinese food restaurants in Yogyakarta called Kong Kong. The restaurant is quite busy and the dishes on the menu are also very diverse, there are red fried rice, Koloke, Siobak, Fuyunghai, Cap Cai, and many more. We ordered several menus there and the portions were also large.

Our second tourist spot in Yogyakarta that we visited was HeHa Ocean View. This tourist spot is going viral and is visited by many tourists from outside the city because of its beautiful views near the beach. HeHa Ocean View is a favorite tourist destination that offers views of the sea south of Gunungkidul from the edge of the cliff. There provides accommodation in a glamorous camping (glamping) concept with a strategic location, visitors who stay overnight can enjoy direct views of the open ocean from inside the room. There is also an area to enjoy the beautiful sunset view while enjoying live music. Its location in the sea cliff area of the south coast provides a calming twilight atmosphere. Maybe I'll try it sometime!

We are still in the HeHa area and we stopped at an ice cream shop because the hot weather is the most suitable for eating ice cream.

There are interesting selfie spots with views of the southern sea from the edge of the cliff. Not only that, there are also several other interesting photo spots, such as photos of planes and hot air balloons with the words HeHa Ocean View, hexagons, rainbow frames, pink horizon, and many more. In fact, because of the density of visitors that day, it was very difficult for us to queue for photos. Plus, the photo spots there are not free, and we have to pay a not cheap amount of money, too sad.

That evening we went to Alun Alun Kidul and the place was not far from my husband's house. We want to ride an Odong-odong, a vehicle like a float but it travels by pedaling like a bicycle. The vehicle is deliberately rented out to tourists so they can enjoy the atmosphere of Alun Alun so they don't get tired of walking. It is very interesting, right! Darren looks exciting!^^

The foods we ate while in Yogyakarta were Yamie, Nasi Kucing, Ayam kremes. When we went to Kaliurang, under the slopes of Mount Merapi we had time to eat the legendary noodles there. It was so delicious noodle.

Lastly, when we were getting ready to go home, we went to the gift shop to look for food souvenirs. We bought a typical Yogyakarta souvenir, named Bakpia. There are various flavors of Bakpia and we bought Bakpia which contains green beans. The taste is very yummy and when I ate it I couldn't stop. hahaha
