A glimpse into the past: Vintage coffee
We never know when we might be surprised by a cup of coffee. Visiting different coffee shops is a hobby that we often practice as a family. I'm not going to lie to you that I have a couple of favorite coffee shops, but sometimes we like to venture into new places.
Today we visit a place with eclectic decoration. Its floor is striking as it is the classic checkerboard in black and white granite. It has a mural with emblematic landscapes of Italy since its owners are descendants of this country. Taking this into account, our expectation to taste good coffee was great.
While waiting for the order to arrive at our table, we took a tour of the coffee shop as they have many vintage objects decorating the place. It was like traveling back in time!
One of the first stops was a shelf with copper teapots and pots. They even had a Turkish cezve for making coffee.
There were several Tiffany lamps with Art Deco-style decorations. These lamps are almost 100 years old as this artistic style proliferated between 1920-1939.
Some gadgets may not have been so unfamiliar to me and my husband, but to my son, a millennial, who is used to digital devices, it was mind-blowing to see radios and jukeboxes. He was amazed at the sheer size of these devices. He laughed a lot as he placed his cell phone next to these vintage devices. Today, in a cell phone, you have the radio, music, phone service, and so much more!
Can you imagine my son's impression when he picked up the handset weight of these late 19th-century telephone models? These telephones are made of solid materials.
The most striking thing for my son was the dial wheel. Never equal to the light pressure of the digits of the cell phone with one finger.
There was a vintage toys section. The cars caught the attention of my husband and son. They were in excellent condition and very well preserved. I got the impression that no children had ever played with them.
Among so many things, I managed to spot a slot machine in a corner. The owner told me it worked. All I had to do was put in a coin and hit the lever, and I could become a big winner of many cents 🤣🤣🤣 To tell the truth, I was afraid of being left with the lever in my hand, so I passed!
We were so distracted looking at all these objects that the waiter came up to us and very kindly asked us if we wanted our coffees. Poor guy! I'm sure he had them ready and had to wait for us.
As the weather was still cold, we ordered a mochaccino coffee and a very creamy latte coffee.
These coffees despite having other ingredients such as chocolate and milk could appreciate the aroma and strong espresso flavor characteristics that are used as a base for these drinks.
We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The attention, decoration, and menu make you want to visit them more than once. Soon I will return with my family to this coffee shop. I will show you more of the fascinating vintage things they have in this place.

Quait and fun! It's so exciting to find a place that has something interesting and different on offer. Sounds as if your family really enjoyed this special little shop. The old phones and vintage toys must've been a sheer delight
Oh yes, we had a lot of fun! For my son who is only 14 years old it was like being in a museum. He had the reference of the phones and jukeboxes from pictures but it was exciting to see them in real life.

This is an amazing place!
It oozes loveliness.
I love vintage cars and telephones. The coffee looks divine:)
Isn’t it great that we can have nowadays different styled coffee shops from different times? And they all bring a different feeling with them… Imagine in 100 years people can have cafes from a lot more different times. Hopefully places like this with objects from 80s and 90s will still be around and we’ll appreciated!
Hello @millycf1976,
Sorry just answering messages, this weekend was all about partying celebrating my husband's birthday. 🍰😃
This place has a particular magic. Are you wondering if I'm in a museum or a coffee shop?
Thanks for stopping by! ☕️
Now this place really takes you on a tour back in time! I remember we used to have similar radios at our home and my grandparents’ house as well.
It would be a very unique experience visiting this coffee shop and exploring items while you are enjoying your coffee! The cups are also matching well the spirit.
The whole place is happening to make the customer evoke the past. It is also an opportunity to tell the new generations how these devices worked.
I, like you, got to see in my grandparents' house super giant radios and also record players needles. Do you remember them?
Yes! We had some of these vinyl players too! With a lot of different tales recordings and musical albums. These were some interesting times.
Oh yeah, good times!
I feel the coziness and homeliness just from looking at the pictures. I can only imagine how it must have felt actually being there.
And most of all you got to experience it with your family.
Yes, it was a different experience. We were really looking for a place to enjoy a good coffee and we were surprised with this find.
Thanks for stopping by! ☕️
That's a great hobby!💚
I love the retro and vitange style, that coffee shop looks like a place I would love to be in. The coffee cup looks delicious too.
