Greetings fellow architecture lovers! Today I share with you my visit to some of the areas inside the Sambil shopping mall in the city of San Cristobal in the state of Tachira in Venezuela. Sambil is a chain of shopping malls located in the most important cities of Venezuela and other cities around the world.

One of the areas of this huge mall that I have always liked is the plaza el agua, it has a huge glass dome, inverted inwards, with an open space in the center that when it rains collects all the water from the glass roof of that area and slides it through a fountain that is located in the center of the gourmet area.

From the upper level of the water plaza, you can see the entire food court with the chairs and tables in the center and all the surrounding fast food, ice cream and beverage establishments. The open air bar, the waterfall fountain, the escalators and the glass elevator, which is only one level, but looks elegant.

It has always been my favorite area because you can relax while enjoying a coffee or ice cream. Also because in the water plaza you can see what the weather is like outside and feel the coolness of the fountain.

Arriving at the gourmet area, which was recently inaugurated after the lifting of the pandemic, we find elegant furniture in dark colors, wood and marble details, cushioned chairs and cushions, modern lamps and garbage cans located in all spaces to throw waste. It is an environment that has tables ranging from 1 person to large tables for large families.

The design of this dining space is luxurious, elegant and available to all mall patrons.

On the subway level, which is only part of the large mall, is the Forum area where there are other stores and the most striking feature is a large aquarium where they have some beautiful fish.

When I was a teenager I worked in a small store in the Forum where they sold phone and computer accessories. It was fun, but I only worked there for a week.

The Sambil San Cristobal shopping center complex has a parking lot with capacity for a thousand cars, has 8 movie theaters and its own hotel with a swimming pool. Children's play areas, bakery, pharmacies, sports and art store. A rooftop soccer field and a bowling alley.

Most of the stores are of well-known brands and are distributed in wide aisles along the sides. In the center of the aisles we find small stancomerciales of small stores and local products such as ice cream, traditional sweets, gifts and jewelry. It seems to me that the distribution of the stores is perfectly organized.

Visitemos el área interior del centro Sambil San Cristóbal

¡Saludos amigos amantes de la arquitectura! Hoy les comparto mi visita a algunas de las áreas del interior del centro comercial Sambil en la ciudad de San Cristóbal en el estado Táchira de Venezuela. Sambil es una cadena de centros comerciales que se encuentra en las ciudades más importantes de Venezuela y otras ciudades del mundo.

Una de las áreas de este enorme centro comercial que siempre me ha gustado es la plaza el agua, tiene una enorme cúpula de cristal, invertida hacia adentro, con un espacio abierto en el centro que cuando llueve recolecta toda el agua del techo de cristal de esa área y lo desliza por una fuente que se encuentra en el centro de la zona gourmet.

Desde el nivel superior de la plaza el agua, se puede observar ampliamente toda el área de comida con las sillas y mesas en el centro y alrededor todos los establecimientos donde preparan comida rápida, helados y bebidas. El bar al aire libre, la fuente tipo cascada, las escaleras eléctricas y el ascensor de cristal, que es de un solo nivel, pero se ve elegante.

Siempre ha sido mi área favorita porque se puede descansar mientras disfrutas de un café o un helado. También porque en la plaza el agua puedes ver como está el clima afuera y sentir la frescura de la fuente.

Llegando a la zona gourmet, que fue inaugurada recientemente después del levantamiento de la pandemia, encontramos elegantes muebles en colores oscuros, detalles en madera y mármol, sillas acolchonadas y con cojines, lámparas modernas y papeleras ubicadas en todos los espacios para tirar los desechos. Es un ambiente que cuenta con mesas que van desde 1 persona hasta mesas grandes para familias numerosas.

El diseño de este espacio para comida es lujoso, elegante y está disponible para todos los clientes del centro comercial.

En el nivel subterráneo que solamente es una parte del gran centro comercial, está el área del Forum allí hay otras tiendas y lo más llamativo es un gran acuario donde tienen unos preciosos peces.

En mi época de adolescente trabajé en una pequeña tienda del Forum donde vendían accesorios para teléfono y computadoras. Fue divertido, pero solamente trabajé 1 semana.

El complejo del centro comercial Sambil San Cristóbal tiene un estacionamiento con capacidad para mil autos, tiene 8 salas de cine y su propio hotel con piscina. Áreas de recreo infantil, panadería, farmacias, tienda deportiva y de arte. Una cancha de fútbol sala en la azotea y una cancha de bolos.

La mayoría de las tiendas son de marcas reconocidas y están distribuidas en amplios pasillos por los lados. En el centro de los pasillos encontramos pequeños stan comerciales de tiendas pequeñas y productos locales como venta de helados, dulces tradicionales, regalos y bisutería. Me parece que la distribución de las tiendas está perfectamente organizada.
