Doodling Splinterland: Fan art SWAMP SPITTER [Eng-Esp]
Greetings to all you craft lovers out there! I welcome you to my workshop Bricolage DC. Today I stop by to share one of my Splinterland doodles, this time a Fan art on the Swamp Spitter card.
I really enjoyed drawing this card, since I saw the character from the front, I wanted to turn it around and paint with the zentangle technique the shell.
For this work I needed: my splinterland doodle pad, pencil, black gel pen, black, light green and dark green fine tip marker, yellow, apple green and grass green pastel chalk, compass, eraser.
I started by making some pencil strokes, the character itself which is a turtle with a long fighting stick. First I made the shell and then the turtle on his back with the same hat that has the letter. The staff I did it vertically and then very carefully I erased it but trying to make the mark visible and drew it horizontally, this to give the effect that the turtle warrior is turning his fighting staff.
Then I started to make the lines and the whole design of the turtle's shell with the zentangle technique.
The part I enjoyed the most, was the moment of making the zentangle design of the warrior turtle's arms. It gave me the impression that I was tattooing some muscular arms. What I did was to segment them and make strokes in different directions and shapes with the black gel pen.
I went on to fill in each part of the turtle's body and the hat I made lines in the form of stripes. I like that because it gives the impression that they are shadows on the surface.
With the compass I traced the circle of the trajectory of the fighting stick. Then I filled in the shape of slingshots to try to visualize the movement of the baton.
Then I took the chalks to paint those slingshots from the lightest to the darkest color and blurred the colors together, with my fingers.
And that's how I had fun doodling this new splinterland character. I hope you like my work and I'll see you next time.

Garabateando Splinterland: Fan art SWAMP SPITTER
¡Saludos a todos los amantes de las artes manuales! Les doy la bienvenida a mi taller Bricolaje DC. Hoy paso por aquí para compartir uno de mis garabatos de Splinterland, esta vez un Fan art de la carta Swamp Spitter.
Me ha gustado mucho dibujar esta carta, desde que vi al personaje de frente, quise darle la vuelta y pintar con la técnica de zentangle el caparazón.
Para este trabajo necesité: mi cuaderno de garabatos de splinterland, lápiz, bolígrafo de gel color negro, marcador punta fina de color negro, verde claro y verde oscuro, tiza pastel color amarillo, verde manzana y verde grama, compás, goma borradora.
Comencé haciendo unos trazos a lápiz, el mismo personaje que es una tortuga con un bastón largo de combate. Primero hice el caparazón y luego a la tortuga de espalda con el mismo sombrero que tiene la carta. El bastón lo hice de forma vertical y luego con mucho cuidado lo borré pero tratando de que se viera la marca y lo dibujé horizontal, esto para dar el efecto de que la tortuga guerrera está girando su bastón de combate.
Luego comencé a hacer las líneas y todo el diseño del caparazón de la tortuga con la técnica de zentangle.
La parte que más disfruté, fue el momento de hacer el diseño en zentangle de los brazos de la tortuga guerrera. Me daba la la impresión de que estaba haciendo tatuajes a unos brazos musculosos. Lo que hice fue segmentarlos y hacer trazos en diferentes direcciones y formas con el bolígrafo de gel color negro.
Continué rellenando cada parte del cuerpo de la tortuga y al sombrero le hice una líneas a manera de rayado. Eso me gusta porque da la impresión de que son sombras sobre la superficie.
Con el compás tracé el círculo de la trayectoria del bastón de combate. Luego rellené en forma de hondas para tratar de visualizar el movimiento del bastón.
Después tomé las tizas para pintar esas hondas desde el color más claro al más oscuro y difuminé los colores entre sí, con mis dedos.
Y así fue como me divertí garabateando este nuevo personaje de splinterland. Espero les guste mi trabajo y nos vemos en una próxima oportunidad. Chao!
