A mural with a view of my region | CCC's Street Art Contest #192[Eng-Esp]
Greetings to all street art lovers! Today I would like to share with you a beautiful mural that is located inside the central hospital of San Cristobal, capital of the state of Tachira in Venezuela.
This beautiful mural highlights the gentilicio of my region, of my people. The artisans who for generations have left the state of Táchira high with their creations in basketry and clay.
The most important churches of the state, the Chapel of Peribeca, the Basilica of Táriba, these constructions are really a symbol of our region.
The mural is located on the Panamerican Highway, a few meters before the entrance to Peribeca. It was sponsored by the IVT, which is the institute in charge of road control in the state.
I liked the design of the mural, the white background and the bright colors. The truth is that it makes me feel at home when I see the mural. I remember the artisans of "El Abejal" weaving their beautiful baskets, also those of "Lomas bajas" working the clay to transform it into beautiful pots and ornaments. The truth is that you can feel how laborious this state is in this representative painting.
I took the pictures from a car, because it was in the middle of the highway it was very difficult to stop. I think this mural is a reminder of the roots of this land. I was 6 years away from my country and works like this made me feel proud to be from the state of Tachira.
I hope you like this beautiful mural that is part of my history. See you next time. Bye!
Chao!
