My Experience as a Teacher in a Technological Space [ESP/ENG]

Saludo amigos de Hive, hoy voy a compartir con ustedes como ha sido mi experiencia como docente para garantizar el acceso de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación a los estudiantes de la institución educativa donde laboro.

Greetings friends from Hive, today I am going to share with you how my experience as a teacher has been to guarantee access to Information and Communication Technologies to the students of the educational institution where they work.

A nivel nacional en toda Venezuela, existen estos espacios educativos que se encuentra en las escuelas, los cuales son un aula de computación con 20 computadoras con conexión a Internet, sistema operativo Linux, y un aula interactiva, en donde los estudiantes interactúan a través de un sistema informático para reforzar los contenidos dictados por sus maestros en el aula de clase.

At the national level throughout Venezuela, there are these educational spaces found in schools, which are a computer room with 20 computers with Internet connection, Linux operating system, and an interactive classroom, where students interact through a computer system to reinforce the contents dictated by their teachers in the classroom.

Cabe destacar que anteriormente los estudiantes una vez que pasaban a segundo grados, eran dotados de una minilapto Canaima, con sistema operativo Canaima bajo software libre, donde los niños en conjunto con su maestro podía utilizar esta minilapto para reforzar el contenido visto en clase a través de un contenido interactivo adaptado al grado. Este proyecto me pareció excelente porque los niños comienzan a utilizar las tecnologías en su proceso de aprendizaje, sin embargo este proyecto se detuvo debido a la situación económica del país.

It should be noted that once the students passed to second grade, they were equipped with a Canaima minilapto, with the Canaima operating system under free software, where the children together with their teacher could use this minilapto to reinforce the content seen in class through interactive content adapted to the degree. This project seemed excellent to me because children begin to use technologies in their learning process, however this project was stopped due to the economic situation in the country.

Ahora bien, todavía existen estas aulas de computación, donde el personal docente cumplimos labores no solo como docente, sino también como técnico para garantizar que los equipos funciones correctamente, para eso se le hace su mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo con el fin de que estos recursos tecnológicos este operativos con un sistema operativo de software libre para reforzar los contenidos a través de herramientas como Jclic, que es una de las aplicaciones que más utilizo a nivel educativo.

However, these computer classrooms still exist, where the teaching staff perform tasks not only as teachers, but also as technicians to ensure that the equipment functions correctly, for this reason preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out so that these resources Technological systems are operative with a free software operating system to reinforce the contents through tools such as Jclic, which is one of the applications that I use the most at an educational level.

De acuerdo a mi experiencia, he visto a estudiantes que tienen problemas dentro del salón de clase con sus maestros, pero cuando llegan al aula de computación tienen un cambio total porque les gusta la tecnología, hoy en día son nativos digitales, ya que desde pequeño sus padre le dan un teléfono para ver fotografías y jugar, por eso cuando se encuentra con la tecnología le permite desarrollar las habilidades en el manejo de la herramienta y de los contenidos a través del computador.

According to my experience, I have seen students who have problems in the classroom with their teachers, but when they get to the computer room they have a total change because they like technology, today they are digital natives, since they were little His parents give him a phone to see photos and play, so when he encounters technology, it allows him to develop skills in managing the tool and the contents through the computer.

Así mismo en una oportunidad me trasladé a otra institución, donde se hizo la reparación de varios equipos que presentaban problemas a nivel de hardware, donde se corrigieron y se activaron nuevamente, también se hizo la instalación del sistema operativo Canaima 7.0 que es la última versión que está disponible en la página de Canaima.

Likewise, on one occasion I moved to another institution, where the repair of several computers that presented problems at the hardware level was carried out, where they were corrected and activated again, the installation of the Canaima 7.0 operating system, which is the latest version, was also carried out. which is available on the Canaima page.

Por otro lado esta semana tenía planificado realizar una prueba de instalación de este nuevos sistema operativo Canaima 7.0, ya que el que tienen actualmente es Debian, pero el equipo donde se hizo el intento instalar el sistema pero este presentó varios errores, parecía que era de disco duro, por eso tome la decisión de cambiar el disco duro, pero seguía el mismo error, entonces no se hizo la instalación de este sistema por lo momentos hasta que consiga cual es el problema realmente.

On the other hand, this week I had planned to carry out a test installation of this new Canaima 7.0 operating system, since the one they currently have is Debian, but the computer where the attempt was made to install the system but it presented several errors, it seemed that it was from hard drive, that's why I made the decision to change the hard drive, but the same error continued, so the installation of this system was not done for the moment until I get what the problem really is.

En estos centros tecnológicos se han mantenido con el tiempo porque cada uno de nosotros los que laboramos allí tenemos ese sentido de pertenencia, en hacer se cumplan las normativas y que estamos pendientes de cuidar los equipos para el beneficios de los estudiantes, docentes y la comunidad.

In these technological centers they have been maintained over time because each one of us who works there has that sense of belonging, in enforcing the regulations and that we are attentive to taking care of the equipment for the benefit of students, teachers and the community. .
