The triumph of Bacchus (Oviedo-España). CCC's Street Art Contest #124
CCC`s Street Art Contest Round 124
However, this mural is exposed in Fuertes Acevedo street 111 in the city of Oviedo and is a work of the Italian muralist Andrea Ravo Mattoni that was painted in 2018 during the celebration of the conceptual muralism festival city of Oviedo.
As you can see, the mural is an almost identical representation of the central scene of Velázquez's painting, with the complexity that has the realization of this great mural of more than 20 meters high.
I remember that this mural was painted in approximately 2 weeks, since the restaurant where I usually eat when I have to go to work at the office is 50 meters away from this mural and if you are interested in seeing the process of its elaboration I share a video with you in the following link.
Youtube The triumph of Bacchus Mural
As for the author of the mural was the Italian muralist Andrea Ravo Mattoni, who in many of his works aims to democratize the art that is in museums taking to the street in the form of mural, as happened a few years ago this work of Velázquez that we can now see in the form of a mural in the city where I live.
