Hi friends, I hope you had a good weekend.

This post is my entry to the weekly reflection hunters contest organised by @olgavita in the #shadowhunters community every week. For those of you who might be interested in participating in the contest, here is the link where you can find the instructions to follow in order to participate.

Two weeks ago I was walking through the streets of Cordoba (Andalusia-Spain). This city is known for its great mosque converted into a cathedral inside which one is mesmerized by the multitude of arches inside and the large number of existing relics and its wonderful park of orange trees.

Very close to this cathedral, on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, there is a long bridge of Roman origin that connects the street in front of the mosque-cathedral with the Calahorra Tower.

I could count a total of 16 arches between one end of the river and the other, although according to the information I could read in the tourism page of Cordoba, it originally had 17 arches.

For the presentation of the photograph of this bridge of Roman origin, in the contest I decided to retouch the original photograph slightly, eliminating the left part of the trees and also cut the upper part of the photograph to enhance the bridge and its reflection on the low flow of the Guadalquivir river.

At the same time, as you can see in the photograph, you can also see the partial reflection of the Calahorra Tower.

I hope you liked the photograph presented and I hope someday to write a complete history of the city of Cordoba.

Best regards

Wonderful pictures, @castri-ja ❤️! I collect euro coins and have a Spanish 2 euro coin with the arches of Cordoba on it. They look amazing!

I didn't know it was printed on the €2 coin.

I would love to read a post on your coin collection. I love collections of objects.

Thanks for the comment.

Best regards
